History: (MOKF#98) - Shadow Slasher arrives at the airport, from Hong Kong. He is determined to fight Shang-Chi. When he actually finds Shang-Chi, he says “So they say you’re the son of Fu Manchu, Prove it”, and the two of them begins to fight. Shang-Chi is, while fighting Shadow Slasher, also trying to take care of one of Mandy Greville’s new students a blind girl, but he fights off Shadow Slasher, who runs away, saying he’ll be back. Later in the park, Shadow Slasher once again attacks Shang-Chi, but again Shang-Chi defeats his enemy, who again escapes.
Shang-Chi places the blind girl with Reston, while preparing for the final battle with Shadow Slasher. In the streets, Shadow Slasher meets with Shang-Chi again, telling him, that he is tired of the constant reminding every time he fights someone, they always claim that the great Shang-Chi is better than he is and that he would be humbled by the mere presence of him, and that‘s the reason why he attacks Shang-Chi to prove his worth. They begins their final battle, which Shang-Chi once again wins, but Shadow Slasher manages to escape once more.

Shang-Chi goes to Reston, and he, the blind girl and Reston takes the car and drives to Stormhaven.  When they stop, Reston discovers that the lock of the trunk has been broken, and before he can do anything Shadow Slasher jumps out, and begins to attack Shang-Chi again. Shang-Chi beats the man for the final time, and he is left to the police.

(Heroes for Hire II#1) - Shadow Slasher attended a meeting with Vienna, who offered him and a few other costumed criminals new identities outside of the United States. Heroes for Hire attacked them, but Vienna expected them and the villains gained the upper hand on them with the aid of a few robots. Things changed when Paladin, Orka and Shang-Chi arrived and the villains were soon defeated. Afterwards it was revealed that Vienna worked together with the Heroes for Hire and that the operation was a test for HfH members Humbug and Tarantula.

(Civil War: Battle Damage Report#1) - He was imprisoned in Negative Zone Prison Alpha.
