Real Name: Alphonse de Manger Beacoup Ducanard

Group Membership: None revealed

Affiliations: None revealed

Enemies: Legion of Howards (Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Howard the Duck of Earth-88011,  Mjolnir-wielding Howard the Duck of Earth-20160,  duck-bill costume wearing redheaded human woman Howard the Duck of Earth-89517 (presumably Beverly Switzler?), Howard the Roboduck of Earth-19171, Sister Howard the Duck of Earth-39251, Strangeduck of Earth-80118); Howard the Duck counterpart he apparently assaulted in a park; monocle-wearing Howard the Duck counterpart he apparently assaulted in an alley;
    Howard the Duck; (you know...not FROM -616, but lives there);
    Liverer of Earth-12115;
    S.H.I.E.L.D. of Earth-616 (notably Leo Fitz and indirectly Jeremiah Warrick...and -- even less directly -- Phil Coulson);

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: "Noble and ready to eat much duck" (translation of name)

Base of Operations: Unrevealed;
    briefly the Duck Bucket (see comments);
    at least formerly Reality-15110

First Appearance: S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (November, 2015)ducanard-15110-htd-profileclosest to fullbody

Powers/Abilities: Ducanard wields a two-pronged fork to tear out chunks of liver from his enemies (usually Howard the Duck counterparts).

    The fork assault is surprisingly effective, even against the Mjolnir-wielding, Thor-powered Howard the Duck of Earth-20160; it could even blow-up the 50-60' tall metal Howard the Roboduck.

    The fork could be thrown, blow up a massive target, and then return to his hands unharmed.

    Ducanard can apparently travel between realities at will. Whether this is an ability he possesses, or he utilizes the fork to do so is unrevealed (although the latter seems likely).

    Ducanard speaks French consistently, but apparently can understand English, at least.

    Ducanard has very specific tastes, and he is disgusted by fast food, as well as ranch salad dressing, in particular.

Height: Unrevealed (based on his size comparison to Howard and Leo Fitz, I would estimate around 6'4")
Weight: Unrevealed (perhaps 400 lbs.)
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Dark brown or black (male pattern baldness)

History: The source of Ducanard's abilities is unrevealed.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (fb) - BTS) - Alphonse de Manger Beacoup Ducanard of Earth-15110 at least believed that he was born to create a perfect pate from the blended livers of one single duck who exists in many forms across diverse realities -- considered the Liverer to be his one rival in all the dimensions.

    The Liverer knew of Ducanard (by his full name), but did not consider him a rival; the Liverer looked down on Ducanard as a mortal with limited appetites.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (fb) - BTS) - Ducanard traveled throughout realities, harvesting pieces of liver from counterparts of Howard the Duck.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (fb) - BTS) - The Multiversal "Spider-Verse" conflict involving numerous alternate reality Spider-beings fighting the spider-totem-eating Inheritors led to progressive spatial anomalies that apparently threatened the entire Multiverse.ducanard-15110-htd-mwhowardstabbed

    In some fashion, a big zipper on the Liverer opened up, exposing some sort of warp deal that apparently threatened the Multiverse thusly.

    After the "Zipper Unripper" was spat out by the chaos, Earth-616's S.H.I.E.L.D. mystic agent Jeremiah Warrick determined that it could only be utilized to mend the damage by a being from an alternate reality. It was determined that Howard the Duck could be that being.
    For the rest of the profile, I'm going with the 616-based Howard for conciseness/clarity/because I feel like it).howard_the_roboduck-19171-exploded

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (fb) - BTS) - Ducanard presumably harvested a piece of liver from a Howard the Duck counterpart in a park.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (fb) - BTS) - Ducanard presumably harvested a piece of liver from a monocle-wearing Howard the Duck counterpart in an alley.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (fb) - BTS) - On Earth-616, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson apparently arranged to have agent Leo Fitz meet Howard on Ocean (avenue or street) toward 17th (street) in Brooklyn, New York.

    As Fitz and Warrick headed to their meeting with Howard, Howard arrived at the intended meeting place, apparently the Duck Bucket fast food restaurant.

    Annoyed by the choice of meeting places, Howard entered, surprising the order-taking youth who feared he had come there for vengeance; the order-taker remained clueless as Howard told him in pig-Latin that he there for
S.H.I.E.L.D.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10) - Ducanard then appeared behind Howard, taunting him as a "demonic morsel" and insisting he hold still as he tried to harvest his liver with his massive fork. Fighting back, Howard pelted Ducanard with "freedom gravy" (Ranch dressing), which stunned and appalled Ducanard, who considered it American poison.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 - BTS) - Fitz then pulled Howard into a back room, which proved to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. base, and when Howard complained about the meeting place being a duck restaurant, Fitz showed him that it was not a duck restaurant (the order-taker had no idea what Fitz was talking about when he ordered a "large duck and a diet grape"; apparently the Duck Bucket was part of the reality warp?);

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 (fb) - BTS) - The Legion of Howards gathered to oppose the multiversal threat.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 - BTS) - Leo Fitz explained to Howard the Duck what they knew of the cross-reality threat and informed him of his role, after which Warrick magically transported Howard to an alternate Earth (or perhaps a location where realities were crossing-over) to utilize the Zipper Unripper...and then he accidentally transported Fitz there as well.

ducanard-15110-htd-fitzblast(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10) - After the 616-based Howard and Fitz-616 met up with the Legion of Howards, Ducanard attacked, impaling and apparently slaying the Mjolnir-wielding Howard the Duck of Earth-20160 and blowing up Howard the Roboduck of Earth-19171.

    When Howard recognized Ducanard from the Duck Bucket, Ducanard asked not to be reminded of the place as the food there, "she is to vomit."

    After expounding on his name and purpose, Ducanard wounded Fitz with his fork-weapon and noted that in all the world he had but one rival.

    Fitz then stunned Ducanard with a weapon made from portions of Roboduck.

liverer-12115-htd-blasting_ducanard(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10) - When Fitz warned the others of the rival mentioned by Ducanard, the Liverer arrived and blasted (and presumably slew) Ducanard, noting him to have been a crass egoist who fabricated such a rivalry.

(S.H.I.E.L.D.III#10 - BTS) - The Liverer further noted Ducanard to have been merely a man with limited appetites.

Comments: Created by Mark Waid and Evan "Doc" Shaner.

    Prior to these appearances, Ducanard had presumably slain numerous counterparts of Howard the Duck and gathered their livers. Maybe that's why Howard the Duck-Thing of Earth-11880 and Bulky-Duck of Earth-18801 weren't shown in the Legion of Howards.
    Or maybe the Liverer already harvested their livers.
    Or maybe something weird and unusual that you've never heard of happened to them.
    Or maybe not...

    I'm not sure what Duck Bucket was, perhaps it was a manifestation of the reality-warping going on. I think I'll do a profile on it, as well.

    Ducanard is gross (French for large, fat, etc.).
