History:
(Daredevil I#267 (fb) - BTS) - Skip Ash named his daughter Brandy after his favorite drink. He opened a chicken farm and named it after her, Brandy's Gently Killed Chicken Farm.

(Daredevil I#274 (fb) - BTS) - Growing up, Brandy became interested in liberal causes. Skip encouraged her to participate in peace marches, civil disobedience, and even guerilla protests while he built his company with illegal money.

(Daredevil I#275 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Brandy collected or acquired a large stash of animal skulls.

(Daredevil I#271 (fb) - BTS) - Skip Ash built his empire on running cocaine for drug dealers. When Brandy found out how he made his money, she fled from him, but she soon discovered that she couldn't live without his money, so she began taking money from him and using it on her own projects. She became an animal liberation activist, and started studying gymnastics.

(Daredevil I#274 (fb) - BTS) - Brandy began building a case against her father, copying papers and invoices and recording phone calls. She realized he was laundering government money in his farm, providing cover for government agents between illegal assignments, doing illegal research, and running drugs.

(Daredevil I#267 - BTS) - Skip crashed a plane full of drugs in a frozen field, and Matt Murdock helped get him free of the wreckage. Skip gave Matt a business card with Brandy's number.

(Daredevil I#271 (fb) - BTS) - Brandy came up with a plan to humiliate her father by using explosives to blast open his farm and release all the animals. She hired a cameraman, Jack, with a helicopter to record the liberation of the animals.

(Daredevil I#274 (fb) - BTS) - Brandy found a shipment in the barn from Attilan, and she wondered if Skip was doing something with Inhuman genetics.

(Daredevil I#271) - Annoyed with her father's teasing, Brandy called and asked for a large sum of money to complete her scheme. While exercising with gymnastics, Brandy berated herself for being afraid to confront her father directly. Strapping on grenades and a gun, she got in her truck to go to the farm. Seeing a shadow, she saw a man on her truck and tried to knock him off with erratic driving; holding fast, the man revealed himself as Daredevil and identified himself as a friend of Skip's. Angry, Brandy hit the brakes and sent Daredevil flying, then she got out to check on him. The two briefly sparred before Brandy revealed her plan, and Daredevil agreed to let her go but demanded he come with her to ensure she didn't do anything overtly criminal. Daredevil warned her that simply setting the animals loose wouldn't be ethical, as the animals wouldn't know how to survive outside of cages, just like Brandy had once not known how to survive without her father's money. After she blew up the walls on the farm, Brandy made sure Jack had the footage. Some animals fled, but others cowered, unsure what to do, and Brandy argued to Daredevil that the message was more important than these individual animals. Brandy set up a second explosion on her father's lab, then she and Daredevil fled as the police arrived, but her car was stalled by all the animals.

(Daredevil I#272) - As Daredevil and Brandy drove away, they saw a naked blonde woman running with the livestock, then they saw the police gun her down. They rushed to check on her, but found the woman had already healed; she sat up laughing.

(Daredevil I#272 (fb) - BTS) - Brandy released the footage to the news networks and it got a lot of public attention. They brought the woman back to Brandy's home and learned her name was Number Nine.

(Daredevil I#272) - Brandy was confused and angry about Nine following her own programming and cooking in the kitchen. Nine's hand healed when she burned it, and Brandy berated her for having no mind of her own. Nine tried to remove Daredevil's mask, but he pulled it back. Daredevil prepared to leave, but Brandy said he couldn't abandon Nine, who was cutting vegetables in the kitchen until she sliced her hand and began crying, wondering who she was. Daredevil snuck out and ended up battling the mercenary Shotgun, who'd been sent by Skip to reclaim Nine. After Brandy yelled at Daredevil for trying to abandon them, she heard the hero say they needed to get ready for war.

(Daredevil I#273 (fb) - BTS) - Number Nine found a red-white-and-blue exercise outfit to wear. She, Daredevil, and Brandy began fortifying a truck with shielding, and creating oil and glue weapons.

(Daredevil I#273) - As they worked on fortifications, Brandy continued complaining about Nine as she doted over Daredevil. Brandy assured the others that her father might be mad, but he would never hurt her, but Daredevil reminded her a mercenary had already come after them. After Nine had an emotional breakdown, Shotgun attacked in an expensive one-man tank and he chased after Daredevil, Brandy, and Nine, who used the glue and oil mixtures to knock his tank off the road; Daredevil then defeated Shotgun in combat. During the car chase, Brandy drove and narrowly avoided getting hit with flamethrowers.

(Daredevil I#274) - The trio got to safety and began preparing for battle again. Brandy continued to berate Nine for her tendency to dote on Daredevil. When Nine slapped Brandy, the two began fighting, and Daredevil gave up and walked away until they ran out of steam. Brandy told Daredevil about the case she had built against her father. Nine was building bombs and making lemonade when Skip used his spare key and just walked in. He immediately attacked Daredevil with a baseball bat, but the hero hit him with a series of punches. Skip drew a gun and shot Nine on accident. Brandy begged Daredevil not to hit her father anymore. Daredevil threatened to use Brandy's intel to take Skip down, and he seemed genuinely hurt that Brandy would try to destroy his company; Daredevil encouraged the two of them to find common ground and learn from each other's different political viewpoints. Just then, Lockjaw, Karnak, and Gorgon arrived from Attilan.

(Daredevil I#275) - Lockjaw departed as Daredevil hid among Brandy's skull collection. Hearing that Gorgon and Karnak were looking for the missing child Ahura, Brandy offered Daredevil's services to help find the boy. When Ultron-13 attacked, Daredevil, Gorgon, and Karnak fought the robot.

(Daredevil I#276) - Brandy and Skip found Karnak, Gorgon, and Daredevil unconscious, and the heroes immediately resumed fighting Ultron-13 to save Nine. They soon shattered Ultron-13 and saved Nine.

(Daredevil I#278) - Brandy and the others bid farewell to Gorgon and Karnak, who were on to look for their leader's son. When they invited Nine to go with them, she enthusiastically agreed, leaving Brandy frustrated with her, and with Daredevil for encouraging her to go. Brandy cried, realizing how miserable she was being, and when Daredevil offered to go after the Inhumans with her, she was pleased and agreed. Daredevil confided in Brandy that he missed New York. Soon, they found the Inhumans pulled over to the side of the road, where Karnak and Gorgon were fighting. Brandy yelled as Daredevil charged into the woods, after the demon Blackheart. Brandy and Nine huddled together, protecting themselves from projectiles from the fight, until the fight ended. Daredevil returned, not remembering why he had rushed off, and Brandy began to be influenced by the darkness within her.

(Daredevil I#279) - At Golden Coach Breakfast, Daredevil sat with Brandy, Nine, Karnak, and Gorgon, and they debriefed about the hitchhiker incident. When the waitress approached, Nine screamed that she saw blood all over her, but no one else saw it, and the waitress fled. They soon went to Pottersville to help the young Pope, who'd been accused of murdering a goat by an angry crowd; Gorgon and Karnak believed the boy to be the lost son of their ruler. Blackheart began influencing the group into fighting, then he caused the ground underneath them to open.

(Daredevil I#280) - Pope and Brandy landed together, seemingly miles below, and they started to climb up a miles-long wall that had images of gods carved in it. They climbed seemingly endlessly, and when Pope fell, a snake grew squirmed out of the cliff and caught him. They found a man in human clothes with angel wings and a halo and Pope convinced Brandy to kiss him to wake him up. The angel returned the kiss and woke up.

(Daredevil I#281) - Brandy and Pope kept climbing, the Native American angel climbed with them. They passed a carving of Black Elk, a Native god, then Brandy demanded that the angel fly them to the top. He agreed, but then left, put off by Brandy's poor attitude, though he said he loved her as he flew away. Brandy moaned about hating herself, but Pope challenged her to work that much more to be a good person.

(Daredevil I#282) - Brandy and Pope made their way toward the center of the realm, where they hoped to find Daredevil, but the ground opened up beneath them, with demonic hands grabbing at their feet. They were soon reunited with Gorgon, Nine, and Karnak, and they watched Daredevil face off against Mephisto. When Pope nearly fell, Brandy grabbed him and saved him. A blast from Mephisto hit Brandy, reducing her to Ash. As Daredevil returned to Earth with the others, Brandy became an angel and was reunited with the angel she'd loved. She felt like Pope could sense her from Earth.

It is possible Brandy became an actual angel and went to Heaven at the end of Daredevil I#282. Climbing a mountain from Hell (see Mount Qaf) can be a way to Heaven after all.
