History:
(Marvel Fanfare I#15/2 (fb)) - Crimson  Ash grew up in Hell's Kitchen, where she hung out with other kids who often got into trouble. She once set off an emergency fire alarm, which drew the Fire Department to the false alarm, and away from a real fire at her own apartment, in which her mother died.

(Marvel Fanfare I#15/2 (fb)) - Crimson became a ward of the state. Haunted by her past actions, Crimson came to associate flame with her mother, and developed a true fondness for it. Desperate to escape the Brock Orphanage, Crimson set fire to the building and escaped during the chaos.

(Marvel Fanfare I#15/2 (fb) - BTS) - Crimson was apparently involved in a string of arson hits during one hot New York summer.

(Marvel Fanfare I#15/2) - Daredevil located Crimson at the site of a recent arson job. Wishing to help her rather than just capture her, he attempted to talk her down. However, he was forced to leave her behind when he learned that there was still a young girl trapped in the burning building. Daredevil rushed to her side, performing CPR to save her life, but he was trapped when a burning support beam fell on him. Crimson came to the rescue, pulling the beam off of Daredevil. She told him to rush the child to the ambulance and then come back from her, but the flames suddenly surged forward, apparently consuming her. However, a body was never found...
