History:

(Marvel Mangaverse: New Dawn (fb) - BTS) - The Black Widow was a mercenary who regularly worked for Hydra alongside Executioner.

(Marvel Mangaverse: New Dawn) - On one such occasion they were hired by Baron von Strucker to retrieve Dr. Bruce Banner from Stark Island. Strucker teleported them to the island via the astral plane. The Widow successfully captured Banner by hitting him with a poison-tipped needle. Right before they could escape Stark Island in a submarine, they were attacked by the heroine Tigra while her master Doctor Strange fought Baron Mordo. The Executioner failed to shoot Tigra and was quickly knocked out by her. The Widow however took Tigra out with another poison-tipped needle and escaped with Banner, happy this outcome meant she wouldn't have to share the commission. Escaping aboard the submarine, Widow noticed that the Atlanteans under Strucker's command had also started their attack on the island. Just then, Banner recovered and surprised Widow when he began to scream in anger, rapidly summoning the monstrous Hulk (Banner was a conduit to the Ethereal Realm). The incident crushed the sub, if the Black Widow survived this remains unrevealed.

Due to the Asian specific nature of the Mangaverse reality, it goes without saying that while characters might look similar to their 616 counterparts, they most likely will have distinctly different names, codenames or powers. Therefore we will only list the names when they have been used in the comics.
