History:

(Daredevil I#10) - Bernard Harris was selected to be the Reform Party’s candidate for borough president, while Abner Jonas was selected for mayor, Milton Monroe was selected as assemblyman, and Franklin “Foggy” Nelson for district attorney. At a yacht party, Harris introduced himself to Nelson and met his friends Matt Murdock and Karen Page. During the party, during which Debbie flirted with Foggy, a spear was fired from the water at Jonas and they all rushed to check on him. At a party at Harris’ estate, Debbie was kidnapped by Cat-Man and Bird-Man, though Cat-Man was apprehended by Daredevil. Harris was beside himself with worry.

(Daredevil I#11) - After Debbie was rescued by Daredevil, Harris, Jonas, Milton, and Nelson met up. Nelson claimed that evidence against the Organizer, the man behind the recent crime wave, was in the safe at his law offices. Later, Karen Page questioned Harris about Debbie, but he claimed she was out of town and rushed off. The Reform Party started losing credit, then a plot from the criminal Organizer to assassinate the mayor for the Reform Party became public, exposed by Daredevil. Jonas, Harris, and Nelson attended a press conference to resign due to the scandal. As Monroe didn’t attend and an announcement from the Organizer appeared on television, Jonas accused Monroe of being the Organizer. Shortly after, Ape-Man and Bird-Man arrived to kidnap Jonas and pulled him away. Jonas was soon captured by Daredevil and revealed as the Organizer, his conviction assured when Debbie came forward with information.

(Daredevil I#147 (fb) - BTS) - A member of the board of directors of Glenn Industries, owned by Maxwell Glenn, Bernard Harris was reluctant to follow the orders of the villainous Purple Man. In order to ensure Harris’ loyalty, Purple Man had Debbie kidnapped for weeks.

(Daredevil I#147) - Purple Man reminded the board of his authority, but when Daredevil attacked, Purple Man took control of the 12 men and ordered them to attack the hero. Daredevil knocked out the lights and easily defeated the men, but Purple Man escaped. Debbie was later returned to Bernard.

(Daredevil I#148 - BTS) - Foggy Nelson kept calling to check on Debbie, but she refused to speak with him. Bernard grew annoyed at the persistent calls.

(Daredevil I#149) - Foggy called to check on Debbie, but Bernard told him she was till in shock and that she'd asked him to hire a guard to protect her.
