As Pulsar/Liberator he possibly lost his humanity, but gained all the powers deriving from the Galadorian armor. He could fly in the vacuum of space near light speed, emit pulse waves to perceive objects at long distances like radar, and create spherical force-fields as defensive and offensive weapons. The pulsing fields could allow to him shatter other force fields, very strong, at least as the one generated from a Shi'ar Dreadnought Starship, thus capable of taking out the most persistent enemy. The armor granted him a high degree of invulnerability.

History: (Rom Annual#4 (fb) - BTS) - Tyreseus left his planet of origin with a will of revenge against the Shi'ar, who had enslaved his people and also many other races. Tyreseus, like others of his race, was skilled in healing, so became a surgeon for the Shi'ar army. He was stationed on a Dreadnought starship as Physician and healer.

(Rom Annual#4 ) - During a mission in outer space, the Dreadnought found a force-sphere containing a specimen. Dakari, the Commander, called a Cohort of the Imperial Guard and its Praetor, Chakar, to bring the specimen without endangering the starship. Tyreseus' task was to discover if the specimen was alive.
The alien creature was beam-transported on the ship. Chakar used his nose and his other acute senses to examine the alien and found it gravely wounded. But the alien suddenly and savagely attacked the crew, decimating the Cohort of Guardsmen and only the sacrifice of Chakar stoped him.
Tyreseus, impressed by the incredible power of the armored alien, lied to Commander Dakari saying that the alien was dead.

Tyreseus learned that the alien was Pulsar the Spaceknight and learns about his last battle against the Dire Wraiths and a Deathwing that nearly killed him. Tyreseus decided to become the champion of his oppressed race. He programmed his surgical instruments and performed an operation on his own body, bonding to the Pulsar's armor.
Later, he reached Commander Dakari, called himself Pulsar and killed him. Through a video communicator he swore revenge in front of the Majestrix Lilandra then destroyed the starship. The crew and the Imperial Guardsmen aboard died in the explosion.

(Rom Annual#4 - (fb)) - Tyreseus dreamed about the word of his rebellion spreading across the Empire. He went back to his planet, Calurnia, and tried to convince his people to arise in rebellion against the Shi'ar; but he found his race very changed, they had abandoned their savage behavior. Peaceful, they refused and rejected their Liberator.
Tyreseus, deprived of his race, sought his freedom in revenge and death.

(Rom Annual#4 - BTS) - Tyreseus attacked and destroyed a second dreadnought.

(Rom Annual#4) - Using his pulsewaves he sensed another starship and savagely attacked it. But the Shi'ar shields defended the starship. from the ship a Cohort of Imperial Guardsmen led by  Gladiator and a group of Galadorian Spaceknights went out to stop Tyreseus. Rom the Spaceknight, unable to convince Pulsar to stop the attack, hit him with his Neutralizer Stun-ray, causing him a great pain. Tyreseus, calling himself Liberator, struck his enemies with his pulsating force-spheres, spreading them apart. But Rom managed to hit Liberator with his Neutralizer-Ray, negating his destructive power. Liberator, without means of attack, fled on an asteroid. Gladiator, Rom, and the other Spaceknights found him, still accusing the Shi'ars of being oppressors and enslavers. But Gladiator rammed the undefended Tyreseus at full force, driving him near death. Before dying, Tyreseus told the story of his people, the Calurnians, enslaved by the Shi'ar, then converted from a wary race to peaceful people via the Shi'ar subjugation.
The Galadorian Spaceknight buried Tyreseus in the Pulsar armor.
