Powers/Abilities: A four-armed leonine
semi-humanoid, Xorn possessed great super-human
strength and durability, rendering him immune to Choice's superhuman
strength and eyeblasts. His four arms enhanced his fighting ability, and
his fanged teeth could presumably be used as weapons as well.
Xorn could fly, significantly faster than Choice could fly.
He could project eyeblasts able to shatter rock.
He may have had enhanced olfactory
senses and an enhanced ability to see in darkness due to a tapetum
lucidum and/or enhanced ability to sense motion.
Choice considered Xorn's powers to be
greater than any other she had ever seen, presumably including Hardcase.
History:
(Hardcase#16/Ultraverse Premiere#7/2 (fb) - BTS) - Xorn is one of the Old
Gods of Vahdala, notably one of Ogma's brood.
(Sludge#12/Ultraverse Premiere#8/2 (fb) - BTS) - Ogma served as the liege of Xorn and others, and they tended the Godwheel under his supervision, bathing in the Crucible of Life.
Eventually "the war" came, Ogma stole the Crucible and all of the gods died, except Xorn.
While hiding from the minions of
Davra, Xorn discovered a cave that was a tech center for the builders
(Builder's remote access and maintenance site, number 7867082-3452), and
he used the technology to sustain him so that he didn't need the Crucible
anymore.
While his brothers and sisters wasted away, Xorn flourished, acquiring more power than he had ever had, including the ability to warp reality at his bidding.
(Hardcase#16/Ultraverse Premiere#7/2 (fb) - BTS) - Xorn returned to Xurina and he began making the land unlivable, destroying the ecology as he felt that this sector was not meant for their habitation and that they should stayed in the Wold where they had been assigned.
(Freex#15/Ultraverse Premiere#9/1) - Xorn placed an order on the computer that if he were killed, it was to start manufacturing threats to the surrounding areas; he also made the order uncountermandable.
(Hardcase#13 - BTS // Hardcase#16/Ultraverse Premiere#7/2) - Needing a hero to defeat Xorn, Xurian mystic Wynn and her assistant, Karr, summoned Choice from Earth to Xurina.
(Hardcase#16/Ultraverse Premiere#7/2) - Choice agreed
to help, and she then flew through Xurina, appreciating how the beautiful
landscape, flora and fauna abruptly changed into realm of fire, spiked
vines and other hostile elements. After causing the land and fauna to
attack Choice, Xorn confronted her, appreciating that she was the Xurians'
hero and wondering what he must to to educate them that they must learn
that the will of a god was not to be questioned. He warned Choice that now
he had to send their body as a bloody message to them.
Choice told him that she didn't know
what he was and that she did not care, but that he was killing the land
and that had to stop. Laughing, Xorn told her to go ahead and stop him if
she could. She first blasted him with eyebeams, which he considered not
bad, although unworthy of a scion of Vahdala, after which she summoned her
super-strength and punched him to minimal effect. Proclaiming it to now be
his turn, Xorn punched Choice so hard that her shields almost faltered.
Helpless to harm him and fearing that she would reach the time limit on her abilities, Choice tried to fly away, but his speed surpassed hers, and he caught her by the ankle. As he dragged her back to his lair in his iron-like grip, she blasted him in the back to minimal effect, after which he tossed her into a cell.
He told her that she had no hope to
escape as he had determined the limits of her powers when she had fought
him. He initially considered waiting until her powers shut off before
killing her, but then he sensed that she was pregnant, revealed this to
her and told her that he would take her unborn child as a powerful tool
after his birth.
(Sludge#12/Ultraverse Premiere#8/2 (fb) - BTS) - Choice apparently spent days trapped in her cell, which provided everything she needed -- food, drink, bed, toilet, etc. -- which also vanished them she no longer needed them. She tested the walls of her cell, determining that they were made of energy, which fluctuated and became unstable when she hit them with her eyebeams.
(Sludge#12/Ultraverse Premiere#8/2) - Xorn checked on
Choice, taunting her with knowledge of her future son, who would have
powers like Hardcase but also some of hers, and his plans to bend the
infant to his will, erasing his personality and forcing him to serve as a
his drone.
When Choice's son was old enough,
Xorn planned to send him to Earth to devastate its eco-system as he was
doing on the Godwheel. Refusing to let Xorn see how upset she was, Choice
asked him why he was a god, and he explained his history, noting that once
he had shaped the entirety of the Godwheel to his design, he would turn
his attention to her pitiful world.
Smiling at her powerlessness, Xorn told her that he had hoped that he had answered her question.
(Sludge#12/Ultraverse Premiere#8/2 (fb) - BTS) - After
Xorn departed, Choice combined her eyebeam and shield powers to escape her
cell, after which she sought to find and destroy the source of Xorn's
powers. She had no luck until she asked in frustration where it was, at
which point the site computer and information center asked what she was
looking for.
Via questions to and answers from this computer, Choice was directed to three crystals floating above a black pyramid; via touching the pyramid, she could access the system and use it to her liking. She learned from the system that she could change the machine setting so Xorn could not power up when his energy was low.
(Sludge#12/Ultraverse Premiere#8/2) - Before Choice could do much more, Xorn discovered her actions and confronted her, telling her to get her hands off of the machine now.
(Freex#15/Ultraverse Premiere#9/1) - Choice instructed the system to protect her, and it formed a shield and blasted Xorn into a wall, after which Xorn cursed her, threatening to have her kidneys for lunch when he got his hands on her. He further advised Choice that she could not stay there indefinitely, as she would need food and water, but that if she wouldn't come out, he would destroy the computer that controlled it. Countering that if he destroyed the computer he would not be able to use the machine, without which he would not be able to keep himself powered up or continue with his plans.
Choice subsequently offered Xorn that if he told her who to reverse the
damage he had done to Xurina, she would let him have his machine back.
Xorn told her to tell the computer to activate Plan 177, but Choice
instead asked what this was, and the computer revealed that it would
accelerate the terraforming of the local area until it spread to the next
control center, continuing until the whole Godwheel was reconfigured.
Laughing, Xorn further advised
Choice that he could find another power center and start his operation all
over again, and he suggested that she give up before he destroyed the
computer, without which she and her unborn child would die.
At Choice's query, the computer
advised her that while it could not reverse the terraforming without
Xorn's speaking the override command, it could stop further terraforming.
When Xorn threatened to destroy the computer, Choice told the computer to
protect itself from harm, but it advised Choice that it could not protect
her and itself at the same time.
As Xorn flew off, Choice instructed the computer to stop the terraforming and stop Xorn if it knew how to do so and to not let that order be countermanded, after which she had it open the force field to let her go after Xorn.
Now considering Choice to be dangerous, Xorn ambushed Choice and told her he had decided to kill her. She fled and blasted distractions into his path until the computer projected an energy ball that began to consume him. Agonized, Xorn told her that she had "lost in the worst way possible" before he was completely disintegrated.
(Freex#15/Ultraverse Premiere#9/1 - BTS) - Choice
subsequently asked the computer what Xorn had meant, and it told her about
Xorn's order in the event of his death. She considered that she would have
to destroy the computer, but it reminded her that it had orders to defend
itself and that it would do to her what it had done to Xorn if she
attacked it.
Choice subsequently returned to Xuria, telling Wynn and
Karr that while she had slain Xorn, he had left a new threat against them.
Feeling responsible for this, Choice told them that she would stay until
it was resolved.

In Ultraverse Premiere#7, Wynn
welcomes Choice to Xurina.
So, is the realm Xuria or Xurina? Maybe one is the name
of the landmass and the other the name of the city?
The
summaries in Ultraverse: Year Two identify it as Xurina for UVP #9,
despite the actual comic text, & Xurina also matches with the summary
for UVP #7 (like that issue's comic text), so I'd argue Xuria is simply a
misspelling.
I can't find anything in the Solution series or the cards mentioning
anything like Xuri[n]a.
