connected to the Great Web of Life and Destiny.
He possesses many traditional spider-powers including superhuman strength and agility, web-swinging, and the ability to stick to solid surfaces.
He has four organic spider-arms protruding from his back. The arms can be concealed by a clock when folded.

He also gained access to unique powers of his victims, such as Miles Morales' camouflage ability.

History: (Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon episode, "Return to the Spider-Verse, Part 1" (fb) - BTS) - Under unrevealed circumstances, Peter Parker gained spider-powers, but unlike his counterparts in other realities, he rejected the ideas of heroism and responsibility. Becoming a feared conqueror, he killed everyone who stood in his way, including his universe's Miles Morales. When a fragment of the shattered Siege Perilous landed on his world, Wolf Spider became aware of the Multiverse. The Siege Perilous sought to reassemble itself, its shards being drawn to one another, and so Wolf Spider used his shard to travel to other realities and search for other shards.
(Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon episode, "Return to the Spider-Verse, Part 1") - The shards each manifested different powers in different universes. On Earth-84799, Wolf Spider allied himself with the Lizard King, leader of the vampires that have covered half the planet. Wolf Spider explained to the Lizard King that he was searching for the object of great power, and the Lizard King accepted him into his service and provided him with vampire underlings. Dubbing himself "the Wolf," the Wolf Spider became Lizard King's hunter in an attempt to capture the Blood Spider, the last uninfected hero in Manhattan. Tracking Blood Spider led Wolf Spider into the sewers, where he found his prey in the company of two other Spiders -- Peter Parker of Earth-12041 and Miles Morales of Earth-24233 -- who were also looking for the Siege Perilous shards. Wolf Spider ordered his vampire underlings to attack, while he himself engaged Miles Morales, remaining wrapped in his cloak so as not to reveal his spider-arms. Spider-Man-12041 retrieved the Siege Perilous shard, which emitted a bright light that forced the vampires to flee, and Wolf Spider also retreated.
Blood Spider decided to use the shard to confront the Lizard King on his own, but he was overwhelmed by vampires and dropped the shard, which Wolf Spider picked up and presented to the Lizard King. The Lizard King initially doubted the usefulness of the object harmful to his people until Wolf Spider suggested that the shard could not only generate the light but drain it as well. The other two Spider-Men showed up to rescue Blood Spider, and Wolf Spider fought them at the head of the vampire horde until his foes fled. The Lizard King used the shard and his knowledge of alchemy to make himself immune to sunlight, confirming Wolf Spider's hypothesis. The other Spiders returned, having used their own shard to power a vampire-curing ray. They depowered several vampires, including Lizard King himself, before firing the ray at the alchemically-altered shard, producing a wave that cured every other vampire.
While his foes assumed the crisis to be over, Wolf Spider ambushed Blood Spider and Spider-Man-12041. He used webbing to retrieve the shard and then tried to reclaim the other shard held by Miles Morales. His foes recognized him as a fellow Spider and attempted to reason with him, but Wolf Spider intended to rule alone. Miles Morales-24233 and Peter Parker-12041 escaped through a portal, while Blood Spider was joined by heroes of his reality who had been cured from vampirism. With nothing left for him in reality-84799, Wolf Spider opened a portal and departed.
(Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon episode, "Return to the Spider-Verse, Part 2" (fb) - BTS) - Wolf Spider traveled to Earth-41596, where the Siege Perilous shard was held by Doctor Octavius Holiday. Doc Ock displayed resistance sufficient for Wolf Spider to retreat without the shard.
(Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon episode, "Return to the Spider-Verse, Part 3") - Wolf Spider traveled to Earth-51356, where the Siege Perilous shard was used by Mister Negative to petrify all who opposed him. Wolf Spider promised Martin Li unimaginable power in exchange for the shard, but Mister Negative already had all the power he wanted and shot Wolf Spider with a petrification ray. Wolf Spider narrowly dodged the beam and escaped through a portal into another reality, as there were plenty of other shards for him to find.
(Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon episode, "Return to
the Spider-Verse, Part 4") - Wolf Spider traveled to Miles-24233's
home reality and took his mother, Rio, hostage. After the two Spiders
had located the final shard in this reality, the Wolf Spider approached
them and revealed his prisoner, demanding the Siege Perilous in
exchange for Rio's safety. Miles used webs to get his mother away from
her captor, while Spider-Man-12041 fired taser webs at a power
generator, the explosion of which knocked Wolf Spider down.
Wolf-Spider quickly got up, revealed his spider-arms, and attacked his foes. While Rio Morales ran away, police Captain George Stacey showed up and ordered everyone to freeze. Wolf Spider crushed Stacey under a heavy locker, then used his spider-arms to grab and restrain both Spider-Men at once. Spider-Woman-24233 then unexpectedly showed up, kicking Wolf Spider and webbing him to a wall. Wolf Spider broke free, shaking the entire building, and charged to attack again, but was knocked down. Spider-Man-12041 used his shard, which contained more fragments of the Siege Perilous, to merge with those inside Wolf Spider's suit, making the Siege Perilous complete once more. Defeated, Wolf Spider quickly made his exit. While his foes believed that the danger had passed and had regrouped at Miles' house, Wolf Spider attacked them there. Breaking through a wall, he caught the Spider by surprise and used his spider-arms to retrieve the Siege Perilous. After revealing to them his own identity as Peter Parker, Wolf Spider retreated with his prize in hand.
Wolf Spider left a trail of
destruction in his wake, not caring about being followed. Deep in an
underground cavern, he used the Siege Perilous to open a view of the
Web of Life and Destiny and to drain the life forces of numerous other
Spiders connected to it. His victims physically remained in their home
realities but were restrained with webbing through which Wolf Spider
drained their life forces, while their spirits were pulled into a
shared psychic plane.
While Wolf Spider was observing
his victims, Spider-Man-12041 and the two Spiders of Earth-24233 caught
up to him, as he knew they would. The absorbed life forces increased
Wolf Spider's strength and size, so the attacks against him proved
ineffective. Miles Morales tried to use his camouflage powers to sneak
up on him, only to become ensnared and drained himself. Wolf Spider
then used Miles' stolen power to become invisible himself, using this
to ensnare Spider-Woman.
Spider-Man-12041 was the last
opponent standing, and Wolf Spider noted that he was somehow special,
as if the Siege Perilous itself had guided them together. Seeing no way
to defeat Wolf Spider in combat, Spider-Man let himself be ensnared,
and Wolf Spider rejoiced in his ultimate victory. However, his
connection to the Great Web was then suddenly severed, and the spirits
of his victims began escaping his body. Spider-Man-12041 explained that
Wolf Spider's evil nature could not contain the heroic spirits of so
many Spiders.
Together, the escaping spirits overwhelmed Wolf Spider, exploding his body into pieces before returning to their bodies in their home realities.
Comments: Created by Andrew Robinson.Wolf Spider is voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes, who previously voiced Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly), and Spider-Carnage in the 1994 Spider-Man animated series. In the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series Barnes is also the voice of Electro (Max Dillon) and Spyder-Knight.
About half of Wolf Spider's victims are characters who have previously appeared in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon throughout the "Spider-Verse" and "Return to the Spider-Verse" story arcs. Spider-Punk (named as "Punk Spider" in the credits) appears prominently with a speaking role, while Spider-Man of Earth-26496 from the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon makes a cameo appearance, confirmed by the writer Chris Wyatt on twitter. The rest of the victims only appear in the background and utilize existing character assets - either various alternate costumes Peter Parker-12041 wore throughout the series, or alternate animation styles seen in various dream sequences.
Spider-Punk's profile in the Spider-Geddon Handbook refers to "Wolf-Spider" with a hyphen, however in both the credits and the subtitles of the show itself, the two words are consistently un-hyphenated. A true opposite of Spider-Man, indeed.
This profile was
completed 08/16/2026, but
its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th
anniversary 's celebratory event to represent the Ultimate Spider-Man
cartoon's stories and characters.
