History:

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - Li Hua's mother was the finest of the women warriors of Tiger Island, and her husband and the other men were the nurturers and peacemakers. Their city was seemingly endless.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) <Nearly 20 years before the main story> - Apparently neighboring invaders attacked the people of Tiger Island, slaughtering many of their finest warriors, including Lia Hua's mother, who died after giving birth to her.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb)) - After the warrior women were slaughtered in battle, the few survivors wished to continue the fight. The husband of the deceased leader of the warriors (and the father of Li Hua) proclaimed "No more." He had the women given medicine to rest, and he negotiated a truce, surrendering 90% of their lands in return for a guarantee of a safe haven, as long as they kept their women docile.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - As Tiger Warrior, Li Hua's father pretended to lead the men off to battles that kept the women and the others of his people believing that the men keeping them safe.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - He-Ping spoke to Tiger Warrior and gained his permission to marry Li Hua.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - Tiger Warrior and his men returned to Tiger Island with stories of combat and carnage, although these were only false tales to make the rest of their people they were being kept safe.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb)) <Nearly 20 years later> - When the Tiger Warrior and his crew returned to Tiger Island, his daughter, Li Hua, rushed to and embraced him, asking him to tell her everything right now. He told her that she was going to get blood all over herself, and he advised her to let him cleanse himself and then he would tell her everything.tiger_warrior-tbd-showered

As soon as Tiger Warrior returned to his chambers, Li Hua insisted he share his adventures. He advised her that one as gorgeous as her should not concern herself with battle stories, and he further suggested that she should be preparing for that evening's celebration and that he knew of a certain young warrior who was looking forward to seeing her again. Uninterested in He-Ping, Li Hua continued her queries of his activities.

Tiger Warrior then related a false tale of the Blind Armies of the Undead. Although Li Hua was inspired by the tales of battle, her father told her that that was enough for now and that she needed to dress for the celebration. Although Li Hua was dreading the celebration, Tiger Warrior tried to encourage her by telling her that she would be the most beautiful of all of them, just like her mother before her.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - At the celebration, after He-Ping told Li Hua that her father had given him permission to marry her, the mortified Li Hua rushed off to find her father.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb)) - As one of Tiger Warrior's aides told him that the brutes were poised to attack, Li Hua rushed to him, demanding they speak at once. Tiger Warrior told her that she should be enjoying the festivities, and Li Hua apologized for interrupting and told him they could discuss the matter later.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - Li Hua instead caught up to her father's aide to force him to tell her what he had been discussing with her father. However, she then observed the invaders attacking their people and the men -- who were supposed to be protecting them -- fleeing.

Inspired by a vision of her mother, who had trained her as a warrior in her dreams and who now instructed her to defend her people, avenge the dead and protect the city, Li Hua attacked and slew many of the attackers.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - Meanwhile, Tiger Warrior, appreciating that the truce had been broken and that the brutes wished to enslave them,  made preparations for his people to flee to another land.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb)) - Confronted by Li Hua for answers as to why he did not fight and protect them, Tiger Warrior claimed that they could not possibly defeat the warriors. He then shared how the brutes had slaughtered the women warriors, including her mother, nearly 20 years ago, and how he had stopped the surviving women from battling further and negotiated a truce.

After hearing that all of his war stories had been false, Li Hua called him a coward and a liar, and she told him that they would not flee but would instead fight to protect the city.

(Immortal Weapons#4 (fb) - BTS) - Li Hua trained the women of Tiger Island to fight and had them fashion weapons, after which they fought off the invaders when they returned with a larger attack battalion. She subsequently the leader of their people as Tiger's Beautiful Daughter.

Great story, but a shame that Li Hua's mother never got a name. We've got nothing to call her.

I presume that Li Hua is the Tiger's Beautiful Daughter active in the modern time period as seen first in Immortal Iron Fist#8, but I don't think that is confirmed.
