    Kamorr is servile and fiercely loyal to a being he has committed to follow, obeying any instructions and content to do the will of such a "master."

    Heimdall noted that he had "unusual qualities." This may have referred to his being so strong despite being so small, but he may also have had other talents.

Height: Unrevealed (approximately 3'7"; he looks to be about half the height of the 7'2" Heimdall when standing side-by-side)
Weight: Unrevealed (given his stocky nature, at human density, I would think he would be around 100 lbs.; if Asgardians are 2-3 times human density, that would put him at 200-300 lbs., although that information has been called into question)
Eyes: Dark (likely brown)

History:
(Thor I#301 (fb) - BTS / Spectacular Spider-Man Annual#8/3 / Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Update 2010#1: Young Gods entry (fb) - BTS) <approximately 1,000 years ago> - Earth was visited by the Third Host of the Celestials, enigmatic cosmic beings who promised to return for a Fourth Host that would judge Earth’s right to continue existing. While many of the godly pantheons associated with Earth (notably Asgard) prepared for war against the Celestials, the Elder Earth goddess Gaea planned with goddesses of most pantheons to seek a peaceful solution to the quandary. Over the next millennium, the goddesses searched Earth for humans representing mankind’s highest ideals, who could be presented to the Celestials as an offering. As each candidate was found, they were placed into suspended animation until the Fourth Host’s arrival, with the goddesses ensuring that each candidate’s superhuman potential, the legacy of the First Host’s experiments, was awakened.

(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Update 2010#1: Young Gods entry (fb) - BTS) - In recent times, Thor, Odin of Asgard’s son, battled with Ego-Prime, a being grown from part of Ego, the Living Planet, and threatened to remake Earth to its own liking. Secretly planning to have Ego-Prime awaken the final three Young Gods’ abilities, Odin sent his gatekeeper Heimdall and the dwarf Kamorr the Small to recruit them.

(Thor I#203 (fb)) - Kamorr traveled with Heimdall aboard a ship akin to a Viking longship with a large sail the waters near an unidentified village on the coast of Japan. There they located their target, Chi Lo, who accepted Heimdall's offer of a more fulfilling life, one which would combine the joys of working with the Earth.

(Thor I#203 (fb) - BTS) - Kamorr traveled with Heimdall to Israel, where Heimdall convinced Carter Dyam to accept his offer of a more fulfilling life.

(Thor I#201) - Aboard their ship, Kamorr and Heimdall arrived at the Brooklyn docks in New York City, New York.

(Thor I#203 (fb) - BTS) - Carter Dyam and Chi Lo remained on the ship while Heimdall and Kamorr disembarked.

(Thor I#201) - Appreciating that their appearance was creating a disturbance contrary to Odin's wishes, Heimdall stated that the matter must be rectified at once, and Kamorr told Heimdall what he wished, noting that Kamorr the small had no will but to serve him. Using his Odin-given sword, Heimdall generated illusions to make them appear to be wearing terrestrial garb and to have arrived in a yacht. Appreciating the success of the illusion, Heimdall suggested that they be about their mission, and Kamorr dutifully replied, "Kamorr follows, Heimdall. Such has he done -- such will he ever do."kamorr-asgard-dwarf-ship

    Meanwhile, apparently unknown to Kamorr and Heimdall, their image was summoned by Klothos and shared with her sister Norns and wondered what Heimdall sought. Atropos declared Klothos' interest as nonsense and insisted they instead monitor Thor's progress, which they did.

(Thor I#202) - Arriving alongside Heimdall in a Cadillac in front of an apartment building, Kamorr followed silently as Heimdall queried the location of Jackson Kimball (see comments) and then approached his room (6). Heimdall noted that their quest was almost over and that it would be good to return to Asgard, and Kamorr added that traveling did not suit his temperament. As Heimdall knocked on the door, Kamorr warned him that he sensed danger, just before bullets came flying through the door. After they both dodged, Heimdall punched in the door and then urged the inhabitant to put down his gun and explain himself. kamorr-asgard-dwarf-humangarb

    After Kimball explained that he had thought it had been Baker -- from whom Kimball had borrowed money -- at the door, Baker arrived with his men Benjy, Leo and Wally and threated him at gunpoint. After Heimdall blasted Baker with his cane, Baker's man Benjy prepared to shoot Heimdall, Kamorr grabbed his arm and told him, "Nay, blackguard, thou will not." Benjy turned, raised his gun to swing it down at him and asked, "Yeah, runt? And who'll stop me? Some half-pint Shakespeare? I'll break your --" However, Kamorr instead caught Benjy's arm and threw him through the air into his allied Leo and Wally, knocking the three of them through the open door.

    Kamorr then assured Heimdall that their opponents were done and would not bother them again, and Heimdall told the shocked Kimball that his companion was a man of unusual qualities. At Heimdall's instruction, he, Kamorr and Kimball departed to meet "the others," with Heimdall asking Kimball's trust and assuring him that all would be explained in time.

(Thor I#203 (fb)) <Three days before the main story> - Kamorr drove Heimdall and Kimball back to the Brooklyn Docks, advising the questioning Kimball that Heimdall would provide an explanation when he pleased. After they boarded the "yacht," Kamorr remained silent as the illusions dropped at least for those aboard, and Heimdall introduced Kimball to Chi Lo and Carter Dyam. After the latter two's histories had been related, Heimdall explained to Kimball that he had been chosen for his talents as an artist by Odin.

(Thor I#203) - As Thor, Sif and Balder battled Ego-Prime, Kamorr followed Heimdall (with Kimball, Dyam and Chi Lo) to the scene, amazed by the devastation not present at the time of their arrival.

    When Ego-Prime blasted and attempted to destroy the gods and humans, his powers were instead drained into Kimball, Dyam and Chi Lo, transforming them into god-like potential. As this new, younger race of gods ascended a beam of light into the sky, Odin vaguely explained his machinations, noting how these young gods would "breathe fresh fire into the furnace of the cosmic all." Despite Odin's promise that Earth would be restored as it had been before Ego-Prime's assault and that humanity would not remember what he had done, Thor was irate at the manipulations and the damage and criticized Odin for carelessly manipulating others as pawns.

(Thor I#204) - As New York City was restored, Heimdall worried about not having heard from Odin since bringing the mortals before Ego-Prime. Kamorr similarly wondered if Odin had forgotten them, at which point Odin transported them back to his presence in Asgard's royal palace. Kamorr remained silent as Odin raged about Thor's condemnation and then cast then new arrivals (along with Karnilla and Odin's Vizier) out of his chambers.

    Kamorr noted that he had always and would always follow. When I saw that recently, I thought it was odd that he was saying that he had and would always follow Heimdall when he had never been seen before and hasn't been seen since. However, when I went back and checked it, he said, "Kamorr follows, Heimdall," NOT "Kamorr follows Heimdall," meaning that he was always a servant, following others, and not just Heimdall. Punctuation is important.
    Kamorr was loyal to Heimdall, often calling him "master," while Heimdall called him "friend" and "companion."
    Nonetheless, we were never given any backstory as to why Kamorr was chosen to accompany Heimdall nor what was his subsequent fate.
    I would like to see some backstory as to Kamorr's history and powers and why he was chosen for this mission...but, with the story and his last appearance already 54 years-old at the time I write this profile in 2026, it doesn't seem particularly likely...

    Kamorr likes to speak of himself in the third person, "Kamorr senses danger!"

    Heimdall called him "Kamoor" in Thor I#204.

    Kimball was called "Jackson" in his first appearance by Heimdall (and "Jackie" by Vince Baker), but he was called Jason everywhere else; perhaps his full name is Jason Jackson Kimball?

    Genii's appearances since the 70's have continued to refer to him as a 70's era character; if only it were possible-- Thor I#202-203 is very clearly tied to the modern era...unless Heimdall and Kamorr traveled through time without mentioning it.

    --Re-reading these issues, it does seem like the events where they picked up Kimball could have taken place in the 1970s. On the contrary, in Thor I#203, it does say "ninety-six hours ago" as they change from the scene of Thor, Balder and Sif charging Ego-Prime to where Kamorr, Heimdall and Kimball arrive at the Brooklyn docks to Heimdall's "yacht." It could be that they arrived in Brooklyn in the story's present, traveled back in time, picked up Kimball, and then returned to the modern/heroic age as they drove back to the docks. Maybe they're car was designed by Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd in "Back to the Future")? Or maybe time travel was one of Kamorr's "unusual talents."

    I started reading Thor around #325, and when I first saw Kamorr tossing a guy around in Thor#202, I thought he was going to be revealed to be Ulik. I think it's just the John Buscema art...
