History:
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#3 (fb) - BTS) -
Jung-Woo Jin was the son of Jin Moon-Ho, who
had become a Juggernaut in service to the mystic principality Cyttorak.
Forced to align himself with Japanese imperialists...
(Avengers
Academy Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#38) - Jin Moon-Ho defiantly
cracked off a fragment of the Crystal of Cyttorak and gave it to Arnie
Roth to give to his wife and son, telling them to remember him as he
was, not the monster that had been made of him.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#3
(fb) - BTS) - Jin Moon-Ha was dubbed "The
Drum"
(Taiko, in Japanese) by the Japanese. Eventually, after Jin
Moon-Ho refused an order to destroy his home village, Cyttorak
empowered Cain Marko to slay and replace Jin Moon-Ho.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#3
(fb)) - Jung-Woo
was left to live with the legacy of his father's actions. At first he
tried to defend his father, but for most Korean, Taiko had been a
traitor who had renounced his country and his heritage. His mother held
the tearful Jung-Woo as he insisted futilely that his father had had no
choice when a man called his father a filthy scum.
Eventually, Jung-Woo avoided anything
having to do with his father, and he grew bitter and disillusioned.
(Avengers
Academy Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#38) <Four years after the
main story> - Arnie Roth delivered the gem fragment to Mrs. Jin and
Jung-Woo Jin in a closed box. When he said that he had been a friend of
Mr. Jin's, Jung-Woo called his father a traitor and the shame of their
family.
Arnie
advised Jung-Woo that a man's story wasn't always told the way it
ought to be. He then gave Jung-Woo in the box, telling him that his
father had asked him to give it to him, and he told Jung-Woo to open it
when he was old enough. Jung-Woo asked what it was, and Arnie told him
that it was his father's story.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#3
(fb)) - Although
obtaining a fragment of the gem that had empowered his father, Jung-Woo
kept it in a box and avoided it. He drifted through life, unable to
hold a job or find stability and spending most of his time in bars and
gambling halls.
Hae-Ran met Jung-Woo while waitressing during college. Although her friends warned her to stay away from him, she could see past his pain and that he had a good heart. When she felt like she had failed an exam, he told her that shew was too smart for that and assured her that she had done well, as always.
After Jung-Woo and Hae-Ran were married and had a son, Joon-Sung-Ah (aka Justin), Jung-Woo continued to got out to bars and stay out late.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity
Comic#1 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Jung-Woo, Hae-Ran and Justin moved
to Vancouver, Canada.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#2
(fb)) - When
his son, Justin, was 5-years-old, Jung-Woo told him that he and
Justin's mother were taking a break and that he was going back to Korea
for a bit.
When the young Justin proudly showed him a
four-leaf clover, Jung-Woo praised this as an exceptional find. Noting
that he got to make a wish, Justin told his father that he wished he
would not go back to Korea and that he would stay with his mother and
him in Canada. Unable to grant this wish, Jung-Woo promised his son
that he would be back.
Jung-Woo remained in Korea for at least 10 years.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity
Comic#3 (fb) - BTS / Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#6
(fb) - BTS) - Jung-Woo wrote a letter to Justin, apologizing for not
being much of a father and stating that that was one of the many
regrets he had in life. He further explained about the gem that had
empowered his father, but that he had avoided it his whole life, never
trusting himself to bear its power and fearing the same thing would
happen to him as did his father; however, he was uncertain whether his
life was better for it. He stated that Justin could avoid touching it
as he did, or that he could claim its power for himself. He concluded
that the right person -- a person stronger and better than he could
have ever hoped to be -- could use the power to become something great,
and he felt that Justin could be that person.
He put the letter in a box containing many of his
person items, including the gem.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#1 (fb) - BTS) - Seeking to claim the Crimson Ruby of Cyttorak, Malphegor confronted Jung-Woo Jin. Becoming impatient when Jung-Woo tried to keep him from the gem, Malphegor slew him.
(Kid Juggernaut: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic#1 - BTS) - Cyttorak criticized Malphegor for his impatience but told him he could find the gem with Jung-Woo's son, Justin. This profile was
