History:
(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1 (fb) - BTS) - Working in a laboratory job for the Cassandra 4 space program, Sue Storm helped her boyfriend Dr. Reed Richards design the Cassandra 4 rocket.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1) - Circa 1961, Sue Storm called Reed from her lab to check on how things were going with the Cassandra 4 rocket but she was interrupted by her kid brother Johnny asking if she had anything to eat. Gruffly telling Johnny to check the refrigerator, Sue was informed that the rocket program was coming along and Reed commented that no one knew the rocket design better than Sue. Reed further commented that if there was any justice in the world, Sue would be on the rocket flight before he was interrupted by Dr. Ricardo Jones. Later meeting with Sue, Reed revealed that the entire Cassandra 4 project and his rocket design had been canceled based on the review of the jealous Dr. Ricardo Jones. When Reed mentioned that his rocket would be dismantled the next day, Sue suggested they launch the Cassandra 4 rocket on their own before it could be dismantled, volunteering herself as Reed's crew. Her brother Johnny essentially blackmailed Reed into letting him join the crew as well by threatening to call NASA about their proposed secret launch and together, the trio subsequently visited the Runway Bar to recruit Johnny's friend, pilot Ben Grimm.

Shortly after, Sue and the other three made their way to the Cassandra 4 base and snuck into the rocket itself. When Reed mentioned that the rocket had never had a trial launch, Sue expressed concern, especially since her kid brother was there, and Reed assured Sue that everything would be fine, reminding her that Grimm simply needed to hit the abort button should anything happen and the rocket would return safely to Earth. Sue then accompanied the trio as the Cassandra 4 rocket launched into space and she admired the beauty of space until Reed noticed the antimatter index fluctuating. Questioning what that meant, Sue was told there was a problem with the molecular integrity of the craft's hull. Cosmic rays soon interacted with the antimatter fuel, bombarding the foursome with unforeseen radiation and Sue witnessed Johnny burst into flames moments before she began turning invisible. A similarly transformed Reed managed to hit the abort button and the foursome were returned safely to Earth, where Reed briefly glimpsed the death of their world in the form of the cosmic Galactus.

When Reed later regained consciousness in a military hospital, he was delighted to see and reunite with Sue, apologizing to her and expressed happiness that she was relatively okay. She then accompanied Reed to check on Ben Grimm, who had been transformed into a rock-skinned creature. The extremely depressed Grimm immediately attacked Reed, blaming him for his transformation, and Sue attempted to hold Grimm back until a televised address by President Kennedy proclaimed the foursome heroes, dubbing them the Fantastic Four.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1/Fantastic Four: Life Story#2 (fb)) - The foursome soon became superheroes as the Fantastic Four, battling foes such as the Mole Man, and Sue and Reed eventually married.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1) - She later attended the funeral of President Kennedy alongside the others and subsequently appeared on television alongside the Beatles to publicly debut the Fantastic Four. As Reed remained concerned about his glimpse of Galactus, Sue attended a civil rights march. Following a meeting between Reed and the President regarding Galactus, in which the impending threat of Galactus was shrugged off by the President, Sue comforted Reed. In 1967, Sue assisted Reed in working on a subspace chamber Reed had created to mimic the conditions of their original space flight in hopes of learning more about Galactus and the threat he posed. When they powered up the chamber, a worried Sue reminded Reed that it was not too late to stop but Reed insisted that he had to know more. A short time later, Sue activated the chamber and both Reed and Dr. Ricardo Jones (who was posing as Ben Grimm) entered the chamber. When the two encountered Galactus, Sue witnessed the chamber collapse into its own gravity well, protecting herself with an invisible force field, and Reed emerged from chamber alone, remarking that Galactus now knew where they were.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1 (fb) - BTS/Fantastic Four: Life Story#2 (fb)) - As the years passed, Sue became pregnant and gave birth to a son Franklin.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#2 (fb)) - At some point, Reed and Sue were relaxing together and watching television when an episode of Bonanza guest-starring Ben Grimm aired. Upon seeing Grimm riding a horse, Sue remarked "that poor horse."

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1) - In 1969, Ben Grimm visited to meet Franklin for the first time, having left the Fantastic Four in 1967. Introducing Grimm to Franklin, Sue then watched Neil Armstrong landing on the moon with the rest of the Fantastic Four.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#5 (fb) - BTS) - After Franklin began exhibiting superhuman powers, Sue and Reed stopped hiring nannies to take care of Franklin, who tended to unknowingly amplify the brain impulses in his nannies' brains. They soon began trying to find ways to suppress Franklin's powers, hoping someone could help control Franklin's powers where they could not.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#2) - In 1972, Sue and Franklin attended a lecture by Reed titled "How Will the World End?," where she witnessed Tony Stark making jokes at her husband's expense when Reed began talking about Galactus. Following the lecture, Sue was introduced to Tony Stark, the man sponsoring the lecture, but she was soon ignored as others came up and wanted photos with Reed. Her feelings of being ignored growing over time, Sue often stayed home to care for Franklin as the rest of the Fantastic Four were off battling enemies. When Reed returned home following a mission against an android of the Mad Thinker, he immediately began preparing for more research into Galactus and expressed hope that things could finally be normal for awhile, unaware that Sue was beginning to question what exactly was normal for her lately. At one point, Sue attended a march for women's rights, only to be interrupted mid-march by Reed, who phoned to ask for help, unable to get any work done while he was watching Franklin. Noticing that by 1976, Reed was becoming obsessed with Galactus as he experienced nightmarish visions of Galactus consuming other planets, Sue also noticed that the more obsessed Reed became, the more distant he also became.

During one day when Reed was off focused on trying to save the world from Galactus, Sue was visited by her brother Johnny and she apologized for getting Johnny into the mess that became the Fantastic Four in the first place. Johnny responded by admitting that he had originally forced his way into the space flight because he idolized Sue and when he claimed he was the man he was because of her, she hugged him and told Johnny she loved him. She then invited Johnny to stay for dinner but when Johnny asked if she was coming to the Meeting of Heroes the next day, she had no idea what he was talking about. Storming into Reed's lab, Sue demanded to know why Reed had not told her about the Meeting of Heroes and when Reed admitted he had declined the invitation for the both of them, Sue grew angry that Reed had made decisions for her without asking. She then left, slamming the door to the lab. She then attended the Meeting of Heroes by herself, where Wakanda's King T'Challa introduced her to Namor of Atlantis. During the meeting, T'Challa revealed that he had arranged for them to speak at the United Nations and Namor suggested Sue speak with them.

Following the meeting, Sue went to a bookstore, where renowned feminist Betty Friedan was signing copies of her book, The Feminine Mystique. After meeting and getting the autograph of Friedan, Sue decided to take Namor up on his suggestion to speak and the next day, she appeared at the United Nations as the Invisible Woman. During her speech, the Invisible Woman spoke on how Earth's heroes should be more proactive and the speech was ultimately interrupted by an attack from an armored Victor von Doom, now calling himself Doctor Doom. Reed soon arrived in an attempt to rescue Sue and the other heroes and Sue took advantage of Reed's distraction to take down Doctor Doom using Captain America's shield.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#2 - BTS/Fantastic Four: Life Story#6 (fb)) - Following Doom's defeat, Sue talked with Reed and decided to leave him in 1979.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#2) - Soon moving in with Namor, Sue promised Franklin he could still see his father on weekends.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#3 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Sue and Reed sent Franklin to an expensive boarding school.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#3) - In 1984, Johnny Storm brought Franklin home from school and while at Reed and Ben Grimm's apartment, Johnny presented Reed with divorce papers that had been drawn up by Sue. Later that night, Reed appeared on David Letterman's late night talk show but spent the entire episode thinking about Sue and how he had previously taken her for granted, thinking to himself what else he might have been wrong about. Shortly after, Sue was invited to speak at the United Nations on the anniversary of Doctor Doom's attack on the UN and she greeted her brother Johnny there, asking him how Reed took the news of their impending divorce. Johnny remarked that Reed took the news about as well as a boy being slapped by Santa Claus before they were ushered towards the main assembly. Sue then gave her speech before the floor was turned over to Johnny, who suggested the world enjoy things while they lasted, as the world would eventually end anyway. Following the speech, Sue and Namor spoke with a delegate regarding ways to save the world such as starting in the oceans or unlocking the problem-solving potential of women. As time passed, Sue continued her love affair with Namor, enjoying time swimming with the hero as her brother Johnny thought about how the Fantastic Four was pretty much finished with everyone doing their own thing.

By 1986, her divorce to Reed having been finalized two years earlier, Sue phoned Johnny and asked if he could pick up Franklin, still not ready to face Reed and admitting she would feel better if Franklin were with her. Not long after, when the Mad Thinker secretly arranged computer readouts that tricked both the United States and USSR into thinking the other was launching nuclear missiles, Sue watched on television as the news reported the potential for imminent nuclear war. Namor commented that at least they would be destroying themselves but Sue immediately exclaimed the need for them to help. Grabbing Sue by the wrist, Namor insisted it was too late to help and suggested they escape into the oceans. When Sue asked about Franklin, Namor suggested they could start over and an angry Sue left Namor. Making her way to Reed and Ben's apartment, Sue greeted Franklin and was told that Reed was on the roof. Donning a new Fantastic Four uniform as the Invisible Woman, Sue joined her former teammates and united with other American heroes to stop the launched missiles. Succeeding in destroying all but one missile safely, the Invisible Woman watched as Johnny flew after the final missile, destroying it in the air and absorbing the heat and fallout to protect civilians. Johnny then fell to the ground, remarking that he could no longer and calling for Sue. Johnny then died in Sue's arms and his death was reported on the news shortly after.

In 1989, Sue visited Johnny's grave alongside Reed, Ben and Franklin and Sue remarked that the world was too quiet without Johnny.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#4) - In 1994, years after Sue had broke up with Namor, she visited Johnny's grave. While there, Ben showed up with flowers for the grave and Sue asked Ben where Reed. Ben could only say that Reed had been working day and night but wanted to be there, commenting that Sue knew how Reed could be. Ben then admitted he missed Johnny and Sue did the same and they departed the cemetery together. She later accompanied Ben and Reed to Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, where the heroes were told that an object Reed had earlier identified as Galactus was accelerating towards Earth with an expected arrival a few years away. Not long after a public announcement was made that Galactus would arrival on Earth soon, the Invisible Woman and her two remaining teammates appeared in public to help usher in the New Year of 1995.

In 1996, Sue Storm attended the wedding of her son Franklin to Zawandi, crying during the ceremony as she sat next to Reed. During the reception, Sue danced with Reed, who admitted he had been a fool to replace love with work and that he was ready to live again. Sue was apprehensive, remarking that Reed tended to build a monument to life rather than live it and that a person could love a statue but it would never love them back. Before the conversation could continue, Reed nearly passed out and informed Sue that Galactus had arrived. Helping Reed to his feet, Sue immediately ordered Ben to fire up the Fantasti-Jet and moments later, the remaining Fantastic Four were rocketing into space to confront Galactus. Once in space, the Invisible Woman noted that a presence had arrived in their vicinity but Reed remarked that he could no longer feel Galactus as the silvery Herald appeared before them. The Herald immediately destroyed all of the Fantastic Four's defenses then circled the globe. Once the Fantastic Four had returned to Earth, the Herald appeared at the United Nations building and announced that Galactus would arrive on Earth himself in exactly ten years. Following the Herald's proclamation, Sue tried to comfort Ben, who walked off alone to propose to his new girlfriend Alicia.

In 1999, Sue joined Reed, Ben and Alicia in watching the New Year roll in as the city unveiled a statue of the Fantastic Four to celebrate the work the team had done for the planet.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#5) - By 2002, the Invisible Woman was again assisting Reed Richards as he rebuilt his old subspace chamber in an attempt to find an edge against the looming threat of Galactus. Following one of Reed's excursions into his subspace chamber, the Fantastic Four detected an intruder in their headquarters and the Invisible Woman joined the two remaining Fantastic Four members in rushing to meet the intruder, who turned out to be the Herald, whom Earthers had now dubbed the Silver Surfer. She then watched as the Silver Surfer related his origins of sparing his own civilization in exchange for becoming Galactus' Herald, and watched as Reed Richards turned down the same offer from the dying Surfer. As the Surfer departed, claiming Reed might change his mind over the next four years, especially when everything he ever loved was dying, the Invisible Woman admitted that while Reed might have just sentenced all of humanity to death, she had never loved him more.

As Galactus' arrival approached, Sue was watching television one day and saw an add for Hammer Industries' cryogenic program to freeze a person and launch them into space to live on past Galactus and Sue commented to herself that she was a better person before seeing that ad. She was soon interrupted by a medical alert alarm and rushed to Reed's subspace chamber, where she found Reed briefly unresponsive. Reed quickly came to and asked what had happened and Sue replied that Reed had nearly fried his own brain, warning that Reed should not go near the subspace chamber without someone to regulate its power. Reed apologized, commenting that there was still so much to do, but Sue calmly stated a disagreement, reminding Reed that there was only two years until Galactus' arrival. When she asked Reed if it was too much to spent their last two years living, Reed replied that it was not too much and kissed Sue. The two got back together shortly after that.

In 2005, Sue accompanied Reed, Ben, Franklin, Franklin's wife Zawandi and Ben's girlfriend Alicia to the Runway Bar for a few drinks and when Zawandi asked about an old Fantastic Four foe with apes, Sue recalled that he was named the Red Ghost. Reed admitted he'd almost forgotten about the Red Ghost and when he asked why a ghost would have apes, Sue laughed and commented that it made no sense. As they departed the bar, Sue and her friends watched as the bar's neon sign was turned off for the last time and when they walked away, Reed asked who the masked hero was that they swore was Billy Joel. Sue reminded him that the hero was called Piano Man and they both laughed at the idea. On the evening of Galactus' arrival in 2006, Sue remained by her family's side as Galactus' vessel entered Earth's atmosphere. Reed commented to Sue that he'd only just begun living and it didn't seem fair for life to be over. He then said goodbye to Sue as the Silver Surfer arrived and repeated his earlier offer for Reed to become Galactus' new Herald in exchange for sparing Earth. Looking at his family and everyone he loved, Reed reluctantly agreed to become Galactus' Herald and Sue immediately tried to talk Reed out of it. Reed was allowed twenty four hours to spend with his family before meeting with Galactus and during that time, he devised a plan to stop Galactus using his mental connection to the cosmic being.

The next day, Sue and Ben piloted a spacecraft up to Galactus, where Franklin instead confronted Galactus as Reed connected with Galactus from his subspace chamber. As Reed went past the safety overrides in the subspace chamber, Franklin succeeded in weakening Galactus using his psionic powers and when the weakened Galactus attempted to destroy Franklin in retaliation, the Invisible Woman rescued Franklin with an invisible force field. Ben then punched the severely weakened Galactus, defeating and leaving the seemingly dying Galactus in space before returning home with Sue and the others.

By 2009, the world had mostly returned to normal and Sue helped take care of the now-unresponsive Reed Richards, whose mind had been affected by the subspace chamber during the attack on Galactus. Not long after, Sue, Franklin, Ben and the vegetative Reed visited the grave of Johnny Storm and Sue kissed Reed on the cheek, commenting that she loved him.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#6 (fb) - BTS) - The Invisible Woman and the rest of the remaining Fantastic Four retired from heroics.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#6) - Sue Storm visited Franklin, Ben and the still-unresponsive Reed and asked Franklin if he'd been able to reach Reed's mind using his powers but Franklin admitted he had been unable to reach Reed mentally. Sue then kissed Reed on the cheek and apologized but Franklin assured his mother he would continue trying to reach Reed. She later visited Steve Rogers, the former Captain America, at Stark Retirement Haven for Heroes to speak with him about the recent tyrannical actions of Dr. Doom. Rogers reminded her that he was no longer Captain America but Sue mentioned that some of the older generation heroes were considering coming out of retirement to stop Dr. Doom. Rogers still insisted he was no longer Captain America and an understanding Sue thanked Rogers for his time.

Ultimately, Sue decided to go back into action as the Invisible Woman alongside Ben Grimm as the Thing and an armored Tony Stark, and together, the trio traveled to Symkaria to assist younger superheroes against Doom's invading army of Doombots. Both generations of heroes managed to defeat the Doombots in Symkaria but Doom himself soon entered the fray. Invisible Woman quickly put up a force field to protect the heroes from the Doombot blasts but she proved unable to hold the field up for long. Captain America soon appeared on the scene as well, helping to down Dr. Doom with his shield, but Doom responded by sending his Doombots out to randomly destroy as much of the world as possible. Attempting to fight off as many of the Doombots as possible, Invisible Woman ultimately tired out and just when all seemed lost, the Doombots all shut down from afar.

A year later, in 2017, Sue tended to Reed while Ben and Franklin helped pack up boxes for Reed and Sue's impending move into a Stark cyber-cottage. When Ben located an android head resembling Reed, he asked Sue what they should do with it and, feeling as if Reed's work so often came between them, she suggested throwing it out. The android recognized Sue's voice, however, and began to speak a recording that Reed had made just prior to entering the subspace chamber to help defeat Galactus. The android revealed how Reed had downloaded as many of his thoughts and memories into the android and it then played the recording, in which Reed apologized to Sue for all of the time he had wasted looking into the stars that they could have spent together on Earth as well as telling Franklin he loved him and thanking Ben Grimm for the decades of friendship. The following year, 2018, Sue kissed Reed and admitted she thought they had did all right with their lives. Ben soon entered the room with a box and Sue told him to sit it anywhere. When Ben left, Sue reflected back on her life with Reed, holding the still-unresponsive Reed's hand and remarking that it was just the two of them now.

    Sue was active as the Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four: Life Story#1 but was not actually called by that name until Fantastic Four: Life Story#2.

    Some of the unidentified heroes that Sue was also affiliated with at various points include the Earth-21766 counterparts of Falcon, Redwing, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Thor and Wasp. They likely used the same names as their Earth-616 counterparts but they were never identified by name in-story.
