He was also agile enough to scale the exterior of buildings, albeit by digging his claw-tipped fingers into the brickwork. He was also allegedly invulnerable to normal weapons, at least to the point where he was extremely confident that a sword wouldn't be able to pierce his skin. Even though his skin was (self-described) "like armor," he still wore additional armor on top, though it left a lot of regions uncovered. Unlike other Corpii he didn't carry any visible weapons.

History:
(
Hokum & Hex#1 (fb) - BTS) - Hailing from the otherworldly nightmare realm of Neobys, Gormley was an elite Corpii Warrior, considered the best soldiers in all the Decamundi, known to even take apart planets. His unit, the First Expeditionary Force, served the evil god Felon Bale, but despite this they considered themselves professionals just trying to do their jobs, and preferred to kill their targets as quickly and painlessly as possible, a relaxed attitude that stemmed from their supreme confidence in their own invulnerability.

Bale sent Gormley and the rest of his unit to kill the man who had been identified as Earth's champion, the stage magician Trip Munroe.

(Hokum & Hex#1) - The group used an enchanted tarot card to transition between realms and arrived in Manhattan late in the evening on a deserted street, then made their way to Trip Munroe's apartment. Finding him out, they waited in the darkened room until he returned home, then Gormley tackled him, then passed him to another member of the team to throttle. To everyone's surprise, including Trip, their target threw a large metal ring (a stage magic prop) over his assailant's head, and it immediately shrank, choking the Corpii Warrior to death. Caught off guard, the remaining Warriors hesitated and debated what to do, giving Trip time to snatch up a prop sword, which he then brandished threateningly at them. Gormley volunteered to handle the problem, and tried to reason with their confused target, telling Trip that however he had managed to kill the other warrior was just luck, and querying why Trip didn't want them to kill him quick and painlessly, given everyone knew they couldn't be beaten. Sighing wearily at his inability to get through to Trip and make him cooperate, Gormley decided a demonstration might help, and to prove his point that Trip's weapon was ineffectual Gormley grasped it by the blade and rammed it into his own belly. The Corpii Warrior expected it to slide off his steely skin without harm, but instead, backed by Trip's newly woken magical powers that the magician didn't even know he had, the sword sank in deep, delivering a wound that gave Gormley just enough time to be surprised before it proved fatal.

Shortly afterwards, when Trip had dealt with the remainder of the expeditionary force the magician was contacted by Solon Rey, another resident of the Neobys who opposed Bale and had come to assist Trip. Appearing disguised as Trip's ex-girlfriend, he told Trip to help him with the Corpii corpses, and dragged Gormley's remains into a vanishing-act cabinet. Once they had deposited all the bodies in it and closed the curtain, he told Trip to imagine outer space, and when Solon pulled back the curtain the bodies had vanished.
