He has gifted intelligence with technology and physics compared to humans, given his home planet the Neobys is technologically more advanced than Earth. He has a keen sense of philosophy regarding free will and was initially a devout follower of Felon Bale's murderous religious fundamentalism.

History:

(Hokum & Hex#8 (fb) - BTS) - As an elite Corpii warrior, Gorkill saw and endured much pain and injury on many battlefields across the Decamundi dimension, aggressively spreading the oppressive religion of his nefarious warlord and demi-god Felon Bale.

(Hokum & Hex#1 (fb) - BTS) - Felon Bale's opposite, the demi-god Godkin Straith sought to thwart his counterpart from spreading his personal religious crusade to Earth using his Corpii warriors. Godkin Straith randomly empowered Trip Munroe, a heckled stand-up comedian and stage magician, to be Earth's champion to stop the predicted Corpii invasion.

(Razorline: The First Cut#1/1) - From a balcony on the planet called the Neobys, Gorkill secretly and illicitly watched Felon Bale sacrifice fellow Corpus Mordant as a ritual before his invasion of Earth to violently spread his nefarious "holy" message of subjugation. But Gorkill ate fruit and he watched aghast as the peel fell to the floor where Felon Bale walked, causing the demi-god to slip and fall. Recognizing Gorkill, yet showing no anger, Felon Bale assigned Gorkill to be leader of the first expeditionary force to Earth to vanquish its champion. Gorkill recognized that war offered opportunities.

(Hokum & Hex#1) - Gorkill led the small group of Corpii warriors sent to Earth to kill Earth's champion, Trip Munroe, who was unaware he had been granted the power to transmute objects. The Corpii attacked Munroe in his apartment. Panicked, Munroe slew several by unwittingly using his new powers; Gorkill fell through the window to the street far below.

(Hokum & Hex#2) - Recovering quickly after landing on the street, Gorkill tore into an oncoming police car. Trying to explain Bale's philosophy to the astonished policeman that the unenlightened masses were to be subjugated and that killing Earth's champion would mean he himself would be granted the "privilege" of being ritually killed made Gorkill rethink his objectives. Confronted by a mass of armed police, Gorkill fled into the subway train tunnels.

(Hokum & Hex#3) - Having successfully escaped, Gorkill still hoped to kill Munroe and redeem himself, but recognized he was stranded on Earth. He claimed an empty office (considered cursed) in the Chrysler Building as his personal base but was mistaken for an ugly statue by a passing realtor.

(Hokum & Hex#4) - Gorkill observed Munroe's apartment from nearby and considered strategies, including who to use as bait to lure Munroe into a trap.

(Hokum & Hex#5) - Gorkill sat in Munroe's apartment watching TV to acquaint himself better with Munroe's world. He found Earth females as ugly as Corpii females. Unbeknown to Gorkill, Felon Bale had empowered a human champion, dubbed Bloodshed, to kill Munroe; Bloodshed's secondary mission was to either retrieve Gorkill's dead body or kill him as a failure and deserter.

(Hokum & Hex#6) - Munroe returned to his apartment, waking Gorkill, who angrily gave murderous chase. But the brief fight included philosophical debate on free will that ultimately ended the fray and a truce followed in which Gorkill sought to understand what he was going to die for if he took Munroe's head to Felon Bale. Decamundi fugitive Solon Rey revealed to Gorkill he was hiding in Antoinette's body (ex-girlfriend of Munroe) and Gorkill gloated. Frustrated, Munroe took Gorkill to the hospital where his friend Mona Lisa, injured by a Corpii cyborg Analyzer, lay comatose. Gorkill used his battlefield medical scanner and found the problem to demonstrate he had compassion; later Munroe thanked him. But Gorkill remained unconvinced by Munroe's arguments, having been raised and indoctrinated in Bale's religion. Gorkill seemingly killed Solon Rey and was about to slay Munroe when Bloodshed appeared, promising death.

(Hokum & Hex#7) - Bloodshed throttled Gorkill as Gorkill throttled Munroe until Bloodshed revealed he was going to kill him. Changing loyalties, Gorkill released Munroe, who used his power to fight Bloodshed. Freed, Gorkill escaped, taking Munroe with him to his Chrysler Building base where they recovered overnight. Returning to fight Bloodshed, they found Solon Rey, who had been tortured to reveal Mona Lisa's location as a way to lure and trap Munroe. Gorkill and Munroe rushed and attacked Bloodshed, who proved to be too powerful. Gorkill tried to stop Munroe sacrificing himself to save the hospital as he was needed as Earth's champion to stop Felon Bale's invasion. But instead Bloodshed threw both Gorkill and Munroe at the last hospital generator, electrocuting both and Munroe to the point of death.

(Hokum & Hex#8) - At that instant just before death, Munroe's hypermind was transported into the neurosphere, where he communicated with Gorkill's hypermind; Gorkill's gruff encouragement helped Munroe recover and rethink strategy. Munroe thought Gorkill's presence indicated a genetic link between Corpii and humans. Munroe also realized if he could communicate with Gorkill's hypermind, then he could do likewise with Bloodshed's.

(Hokum & Hex#9) - While Munroe fought Bloodshed in the neurosphere, Gorkill, having recovered, attacked Bloodshed's corporeal form in between trying to revive Munroe's body. Ultimately, Munroe defeated Bloodshed, who imploded. Munroe awoke healed to see Gorkill. Together, they walked off, agreeing that they were allies as Felon Bale was coming after them both.

(Hyperkind Unleashed#1/2 (fb) - BTS) - The final clash with Bloodshed caused Trip Munroe to lose his general transmutational powers, but he could still shape a metallic staff into any shape. Concerned that Earth still needed a champion, Gorkill mentored him in fighting techniques and started him on an intensive training schedule.

(Hyperkind Unleashed#1/2) - Months passed, and Gorkill continued Munroe's intense training regimen, including strenuous physical exercise, diet and fierce sparring. Quietly impressed with his progress, Gorkill organized the escape of brutal murderer Jake Borham from prison to test Munroe in a deadly fight. Gorkill tossed Borham a shotgun while Munroe only had his staff he could shapeshift. Gorkill stood back as referee, and Munroe subdued Borham, refusing to kill him. Taking Borham back to prison, Munroe told Gorkill he would kill Gorkill instead if he placed him in such a situation again. Gorkill was caught somewhere between mild surprise and pride.

In Hyperkind Unleashed#1/2, Trip Munroe described Gorkill as a "grouchy, cynical, seen-it-all high-tech barbarian with an attitude as bad as his breath."

It seems "Corpus" is a general surname for all Corpii.

Gorkill's height is a little difficult to determine as he stoops a lot.

Mish-Mash found several buried Corpii bodies in Saint Sinner #2; these may be from the battle with Trip Munroe (although Munroe appeared to dispose of them in Decamundi space).

CLARIFICATIONS :
Gorkill has no known connections to:

Jake Borham

The human Jake Borham was a brutal child murderer who had used his prison time to bulk his muscles up to incredible proportions. Gorkill engineered his escape and set up a face-to-face fight with Trip Munroe to test his worth as Earth's champion. Gorkill tossed Borham a loaded twin-barreled shotgun while an almost depowered Munroe only had a staff that he could change to any shape (only). Gorkill stood back and acted as referee in a seeming death duel; however, Munroe subdued Borham but refused to kill him, and Borham was returned to prison.

--Hyperkind Unleashed#1/2

Gimcher

Gimcher was a Corpii warrior still on the Neobys supportive of Gorkill and considered him a friend. He was among several Corpii warriors who resisted assassin Bloodshed's decree to take enemy Trip Munroe's teleportation tarot cards. However, Bloodshed angrily incinerated the few who openly disagreed with him, including Gimcher. Because Bloodshed was a Blood Reaper, any he killed with his powers contributed to new worlds forming in the Decamundi dimension (which included Neobys).

--Hokum & Hex#6

Gormley

Gormley was an elite Corpii warrior on the initial mission led by Gorkill against Trip Munroe. A devout follower of Felon Bale, he was astonished that Munroe resisted a quick death, but was even more surprised that Munroe could fashion weapons that would kill Corpii. Still disbelieving and thinking himself indestructible, Gormley took the sword blade in Munroe's hand and impaled himself. Still thinking it an impossibility, the alien fell and died. Munroe later disposed of the body in Decamundi space.

--Hokum & Hex#1

Gringonor

Gringonor was another elite Corpii warrior involved in the initial attack led by Gorkill against Trip Munroe. As he defended himself, Munroe tripped Gringonor as the warrior lunged and then fell into a stage cabinet with spring-loaded swords that Munroe unwittingly triggered to impale and kill Gringonor. With alien fugitive Solon Rey's help, Munroe later disposed of the body in Decamundi space.
