(Crazy Magazine#36 "Other Versions of Howard the Duck") - Duck Fury presumably was active in espionage as an agent of Q.U.A.C.K.
Comments: Created by Jim Newsome.
Duck Fury appears in a
single panel with the name "Duck Fury agent of Q.U.A.C.K." as one of a number of
Howard counterparts in the "Other Versions of Howard the Duck" in two-page feature in Crazy Magazine#36.
Clearly, Duck Fury
was inspired by Nick Fury, a World War II soldier granted an extended
life via the Infinity Formula, who was the former head of Q.U.A.C.K., amongst many other things.
No further context is available, but it makes me wonder:
- Did Howard travel from his anthropomorphic animals world (or
Duckworld, depending on the version) to Earth, arriving sometime before or during World War II or another time period?
- Did he originate on the same world in which he was an agent of Q.U.A.C.K.?
- How much of Nick Fury's history does Duck Fury share?
- Was a soldier in World War II and/or the Korean War and/or the Vietnam War?
- Did his world even have those wars?
- Place and date of birth?
- Does he have similar lovers and/or a son?
And, most importantly, what does Q.U.A.C.K. stand for?
- Quintessential Unearthers of Activities from Cannibalism to
Kleptoparasitism – Snood
- Quite Unnecessary Agents of Canard Kind – Avatar Warlord
- My alternative would be Quiet Unassuming Agents of Canard
Kind
- Quasi-Unified Agency for Counterespionage and Knavishness –
MarvelousLuke
- Quibbling Underrated Action-Comics Knaves – Spidermay
- Quantum-linked Undercover Anatidae Counterintelligence
Killers (licensed)—Kevin Garcia
- Qualified
Undercover Aves Confounding Knavery -- Loki
Perhaps someday, someone will flesh out the
story of Duck Fury and the seven other characters from this
featurette: Duck Carter of Mars, Batduck, Sheerluck Duck, Duckula, Duc Savage, Duckey Crocket and Drake Vader.
Physical features were estimated based on the Howard active on Earth-616.
Profile by Snood.

- Nick Fury
- former World War II soldier, granted longevity via the Infinity
