(Skybox Ultraverse trading card #48 (fb) - BTS) - For unrevealed reasons, Bloodbath became driven to prove himself superior to ultras, training hard to be peak athlete in fitness and combat, mastering various weaponry, and ultimately gaining pleasure in killing, particularly ultras to fulfill his hatred of them.

(Exiles I#1) - Bloodbath was hired by Malcolm Kort to accompany the ultra and fellow mercenary Bruut to retrieve new Theta Virus victim, teenager Timothy Halloran in San Diego, but were confronted by two of Deming's Exiles team members, Mustang and Catapult, also there to get Timothy. Bloodbath tried used lethal force energy weapon, but Catapult was too quick and Mustang zapped him from behind. Powerhouse Bruut had grabbed Timothy's mother by the neck, but standing in water from the damaged house. Bloodbath shot the powered Mustang to electrify the water and Bruut's hand spasmed, snapping the woman's neck. Stunned, Catapult was easily punched out by Bloodbath and the mercenary left with the traumatized boy.

(Exiles I#2) - Later, back at Kort's Los Angeles base, Bruut confronted Bloodbath about being left behind, but Bloodbath downed him with with a well-placed punch followed by a warning.

(Exiles I#3) - Timothy had transformed into behemoth-Mastodon form in Kort's lab and smashed out, just as the Exiles arrived to rescue him. Bloodbath wanted to shoot them down but was stopped by Kort, who didn't want any dead bodies. Fellow Kort agent Hot Rox captured Ghoul and Tinsel. Kort ordered Ghoul be dumped in biological waste and, although considering Tinsel a hostage, offered her unconscious body as a prize to Bloodbath as the mercenary sleazily grinned. Soon after in his armory-like room, Bloodbath tried to rape her, but she recovered and used her light powers to burn out his eyes. She stumbled out of his room, but he grabbed guns and tracked her by hearing and shot her multiple times. Bloodbath staggered down the corridors demanding help.

(Exiles I#4) - Bloodbath was helped by Kort's scientist Dr. Wendell Deeters and angrily returned to his room. But Ghoul had found Tinsel's body and lay in wait for the mercenary, stabbing him. Bloodbath was able to stab and shoot back, but near unkillable, Ghoul returned fire, killing the mercenary and absorbed his life energies and soul as he died. Ghoul stomped on the powdery husk left of Bloodbath's body and took some of the merc's gear as he left.

Comments: Created by Steve Gerber, Tom Mason, Dave Olbrich, Paul Pelletier, Ken Branch.

Bloodbath is shown with fully-colored eyes a couple of time; red in the trading cards and black in a panel or two in the comic. Maybe these are specially fitted lenses to help with fighting... or just coloring error.

The cover of Exiles#2 had a banner: featuring Bloodbath™.
Not sure what that was all about...

Kansas reader Nick Williams mentioned in the Letters page in Exiles#3 that Bloodbath and Bruut look like a pair of Rob Liefeld rejects. Yikes!
