Powers/Abilities: Deadeye may have been a cyborg, or may have just worn an apparatus on his head. Regardless, he was highly skilled with ballistic and energy weapons and had superhuman marksmanship abilities. He carries one of those compensating-for-something gigantic guns, which can also fire tranquilizer darts.

He also used a number of handheld weapons, such as bladed disks, bolas, etc.

Deadeye served as field leader after Trax was taken out of commission, and likely had some degree of tactical training. He was trained in the use of the Exiles' sky sleds.

Like the other Exiles, Deadeye was infected with the Theta virus. However, it was kept in remission by the treatments of Dr. Deming.

History:
(Exiles I#1 (fb) -BTS) - At some point, the man who would become Deadeye developed the Theta virus. He was contacted by Dr. Rachel Deming who brought the disease into remission, trained him in the use of his powers, and recruited him to join her Exiles, to help those who were similarly afflicted.

(Exiles I#1) - As part of the Exiles "Alpha team", Tinsel, Deadeye, and Trax were sent by Deming to recover a new victim, Amber Hunt. Despite the efforts of the Supreme Soviet, an agent of their opponent, Malcolm Kort, they successfully recovered Hunt. It was Deadeye who took the Supreme Soviet out of action, by binding his feet together with a bola, so that he couldn't control his boot jets, and crashed into a wall.

(Exiles#2) - With Trax out of commission following injuries from the battle with the Supreme Soviet, Deadeye was put in charge of the next mission, to retrieve another Theta victim, Timothy Halloran, from Malcolm Kort's fortress. No sooner did they arrive, when Hallorhan, mutated into the monstrous Mastodon by Kort's efforts to kickstart his powers, broke free.

(Exiles#3) - A three way fight broke out between the Exiles, Mastodon, and Kort's agents. Dr. Deming, who had accompanied the Exiles on the mission, was wounded by Bloodbath and knocked off her skysled, but Deadeye saved her from falling to her death. Deadeye led a few attempts to capture Mastodon, but the powerful youth ultimately escaped.

(Exiles#4) - As scores of police arrived at the scene of their battles, Deadeye made the decision to abort the mission and head home. Deming tried to overrule him, but he strongly reminded her that he was in charge of the operation. However, as they returned to the Stronghold, they were caught in an explosion, caused by a powerload of Amber Hunt, combined with the energies of the Entity from the Moon.  Most of the Exiles were crippled or killed, although Deadeye and Deming, who were bringing up the rear got the least of it, just being hit by a tidal wave caused by the explosion. The force of the waters knocked Deadeye all the way back to the California coast.

(Break-Thru#1 - BTS) - A hospitalized Rachel Deming confirmed that Deadeye had survived the explosion and gone off on his own.

Comments: Created by Steve Gerber, Tom Mason, Dave Olbrich, and Chris Ulm (writers) and Paul Pelletier (penciler).

Yeah, in retrospect, the only ones of the original Exiles that really deserved full profiles were Deming, Amber, and Ghoul, but I'd already gotten started, and decided to just finish up as is. I'll do Kort's agents as a single profile, then start Ghoul, the last character from the original Exiles series...and then onto Strike's Exiles.
