Powers/Abilities: Lupal was a brilliant scientist, particularly at creating narcotics. He also wielded an energy pistol.

History: (Marvel Comics Presents I#172/3 (fb))- Lupal was sent by the Universal Cosa Nostrum to an insignificant planet in a little-known system far from developed space to refine a plant there into a narcotic. Lupal created the drug Addictum from the plant, and it soon became used by the wealthiest people in the Universal Cosa Nostrum. However, when it was discovered that Addictum deprivation would turn a user's blood into napalm, the Universal Cosa Nostrum sought to obtain Lupal's formula.

(Marvel Comics Presents I#172/3)- Lupal hid the formula by creating tattoos on the bodies of the natives found on the insignificant planet in a little-known system far from developed space, but some of them stole his sub-space radio, making him fearful that they would rat him out to the Universal Cosa Nostrum. Lupal threatened the natives' chief with his gun, but then the Silver Surfer arrived to defend him. Fearful that Galactus was involved, Lupal blew his head off with his gun. The Silver Surfer then incinerated his remains, hoping to erase all traces of his madness.

(Marvel Comics Presents I#173 (BTS))- Lupal's ashes were found by Lunatik, who had been sent by the Universal Cosa Nostrum to find the formula to Addictum.
