Identity/Class: Extraterrestrial (Z'Nox)

Occupation: Mercenary

Affiliations: Starblasters

Enemies: Uatu the Watcher

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: The Dark Seed, mobile in the known universe

First Appearance: Starblast#1 (January, 1994)

Powers/Abilities: Kreeg is a reptillian alien, and apparently possesses strength above that of the average human (enhanced?).

History: (Starblast#1)- Serving with the other Starblasters on their mission to obtain the Star Brand, Kreeg received Uatu the Watcher from Nygorn after his capture, and helped Insidio set him up for interrogation. After learning the history of the Star Brand from the Watcher, Kreeg and Zardok moved him to a restraining cage so that Insidio could study him further.

(Fantastic Four I#386)- Kreeg observed as Fabrikant observed with Xlyym, who had just reported on the loss of his Planetary Thrusters. Fabrikant agreed to allow Xlyym another chance by generating a tidal wave on Earth with his vessel. After Xlyym had signed off, Kreeg asked Fabrikant why he allowed him another chance. Fabrikant replied that with any luck, Xlyym would get himself killed and save them the trouble.

Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald and Herb Trimpe.

Kreeg isn't mentioned by name in Fantastic Four I#386, but it looks like him.

I wondered at first if Kreeg was a Z'Nox, as in Starblast#1 Professor Xavier mentioned that the Starblasters included a Z'Nox in their crew. However, Kreeg doesn't look much like a Z'Nox, so I guess we never are sure about him.

He was revealed as a Z'Nox in their handbook profile in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z HC#14.

Despite being displayed prominently on the cover of Starblast#1, Kreeg didn't amount to much in the actual story, being the least-important of all the Starblasters.
