Powers/Abilities: The Galactic Roadrunner presumably possesses speed on par with the fastest beings in the galaxy, as it was able to interact with Makkari after he achieved "Absolute Speed."

History: (Quasar#58)- At the close of the Galactic marathon, the Galactic Roadrunner congratulated The Eternal Makkari on his victory, presented him with a victory Medallion, and informed him of the victory gala to be held in his honor. Makkari stated that he wished to return to earth, to bring his friends to the "Finish Line World" for the party, and the creature directed him to the Runner's transport device. After traveling to earth, Makkari was unable to interact with anyone, and returned, only to learn from Runner that he was trapped in a state of elevated speed. Grandmaster offered to aid Makkari, if he would race in his behalf at the race for the championship of all known space (Runner had "failed" him, and cost him a "significant bet", so he needed a new champion). The Roadrunner, standing next to Grandmaster and Runner, looked surprised when Makkari refused, leaving "Grandy" stuck with the "Runner-Up", Runner (who was quite happy with that arrangement).

The Judges of the Galactic Marathon learned of the cheating by the furry fiend Fooferah, and declared the entire race forfeit. When the judgment was announced, Runner was excited at the prospect of a rematch with Makkari, but Makkari rudely blew him off, and left as Runner began pitching a childish tantrum.

Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald, Peter Sanderson, John Heebink, Aaron McClellan, and Paul Becton.

Obviously, this character was based on the Roadrunner from the Looney Tunes Cartoons. The Gender of this creature was never revealed, nor was any name or alias, I had to use my imagination (but not very much, it's kind of obvious).

Spectators of the Galactic Marathon included members of the Fomalhauti, Glx, Nanda, Rigellian, Zundamite, Poppupian, Ciegrimite, Flb'dbi, Kymellian, Sagittarians, M'Ndavians, Alpha Centaurian, A'askvarii, Skrull, and R'malk'i races.

Galactic Marathon announcer A member of the Nanda race, he served as announcer for the Galactic Marathon, announcing Makkari's victory to the assembled spectators from giant screens. His words were "simultaneously translated into a million languages." He was also seen on a screen at the "Starting Line World."
