History:
(Howard the Duck V#2 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, the alien Jarax's parents were captured by the extraterrestrial Elder of the Universe's Collector's Gatherers, including Gatherer D-3X. A short time after, Jarax became a seller of collectibles, and he hired smugglers Linda and Shocket to acquire a stash of uru zirconium Silver Surfer figurines for resell purposes.

(Howard the Duck V#2 (fb)) - When Linda and Shocket arrived with the figurines in damaged boxes, Jarax exclaimed that they had done a terrible job acquiring the figurines, and Shocket quickly reminded Jarax that they had delivered the goods despite having had to go through the Tranta system. Remarking that the figurines' boxes were all damaged and that Linda and Shocket were supposed to be the best smugglers in the business, Jarax was interrupted by Linda, who insisted they were the best smugglers.

Arguing that the duo were not the best, Jarax announced his refusal to pay for the figurines, and Shocket prepared her weapon, warning Jarax that he would pay. Linda interrupted Shocket, agreeing to only charge Jarax seventy-five percent of the original cost to account for the costs of printing new boxes for the figurines, which Jarax could then sell for a million credits. After fuming for a few seconds, Jarax reluctantly agreed to the discount and ordered the smugglers to get out of sight before telling his ally Wez to pay the two.

As the two smugglers were hurried into their ship by the equivalent of their father, Gatherer D-3X, so they could make it to the planet Rylon-7 within six hours, a still-angry Jarax recognized an older-looking D-3X and, unaware that this D-3X had time traveled into the past from Jarax's future, Jarax pulled out a gun and shot D-3X.

Announcing that he never forgot a face, Jarax admitted he was confused as to how D-3X had gotten so much older and ordered his allies not to let the smugglers leave. When Linda and Shocket managed to get D-3X into their ship and take off, Jarax ordered his men to fire on the moving ship, but Linda purposely ignited the highly flammable uru zirconium Silver Surfer figurines using their ship's thrusters, causing an explosion that apparently claimed the lives of Jarax and his men as the two smugglers set a course to the planet Hornby-9 to get D-3X medical attention.

Comments: Created by Chip Zdarsky and Veronica Fish.

Jarax had fin-like protrusions on top of his head but it was unclear whether these were his race's version of hair or if they were actual extensions of his skull.

Rylon-7

Rylon-7 was a planet in which smugglers Linda and Shocket were scheduled to deliver an acquisition to. Following their argument with Jarax over the damaged Silver Surfer figurines, Gatherer D-3X ushered Linda and Shocket into the spacecraft so they could make it to Rylon-7 within six hours.

Wez

Wez was a somewhat nervous associate of Jarax's who cowered behind Jarax as Jarax argued with the smugglers Linda and Shocket over damaged Silver Surfer figurines. When Jarax ultimately agreed to settle for seventy-five percent of his original price on the damaged figurines, Jarax ordered Wez to pay the smugglers. Wez was apparently incinerated minutes later when the escaping Linda and Shocket ignited the flammable uru zirconium composing the figurines, causing an explosion.
