History:
(Spirits of Vengeance I#2 (fb) - BTS) - A demon posing as a human, Eduardo managed Eduardo's Rare and Collectible Books, a used book store frequented by Daimon Hellstrom. Years after Hellstrom first visited Eduardo's, Hellstrom phoned Eduardo and asked for a very particular old tome. Happy to help a regular client, Eduardo pulled the book and had it ready when Hellstrom and his allies Johnny Blaze and the vampire hunter Blade arrived. Before Hellstrom arrived, Eduardo was tasked by Razan the Night Jackal to capture Johnny Blaze and recover a piece of enchanted silver in Blaze's possession by the following night.

(Spirits of Vengeance I#2) - Unaware of Eduardo's mission, Hellstrom soon arrived and expressed appreciation for Eduardo having the book ready and Eduardo explained that he was happy to help such a long time client. When Hellstrom asked what he owed Eduardo, Eduardo commented that it was on the house. Curious, Hellstrom asked why there was no charge and a nervous Eduardo muttered that he could be compensated by having Johnny Blaze remain behind, further remarking that it was nothing personal and that Hellstrom and Blade could go free. Hellstrom calmly asked why Blaze had to stay and an even more nervous Eduardo commented that Hellstrom knew why. Hellstrom nonetheless said Blaze was with him and Eduardo sighed, transformed into his demonic form, and attacked Hellstrom while his "customers" similarly transformed into demonic forms and attacked Hellstrom's allies. Hellstrom's allies made quick work of the demons posing as Eduardo's customers but Eduardo managed to get the drop on Hellstrom himself. Hellstrom calmly expressed disappointment in Eduardo after giving him so much business over the years and Ghost Rider subsequently wrapped his chains around Eduardo's neck, ready to destroy the demon. Hellstrom halted Ghost Rider's attack, however, and suggested they instead have a friendly chat with Eduardo.

Taking Eduardo back to his headquarters, Daimon Hellstrom interrogated him, demanding to know what was going on. Eduardo responded by repeatedly apologizing and expressing hope that the attack would not damage their long term relationship but Hellstrom ordered Eduardo to stop stalling. Eventually exclaiming that there was a bounty on Johnny Blaze, Eduardo was asked why and he admitted he didn't know, only that he had been tasked by Razan the Night Jackal to capture Blaze and recover a piece of silver in Blaze's possession. He also exclaimed that he had clearly told to accomplish his mission by the following night before swearing that was all he knew.

Eduardo's Rare & Collectible Books

Eduardo's Rare and Collectible Books was a used book store owned and operated by the demon Eduardo. For years, the bookstore was frequented by Daimon Hellstrom and Eduardo befriended Hellstrom. After being tasked with recovering a piece of enchanted silver in the possession of Hellstrom's ally Johnny Blaze, Eduardo saw his opportunity to accomplish the task when Hellstrom phoned the bookstore to purchase a particular old tome. Utilizing other demons to pose as customers within Eduardo's Rare and Collectible Books, Eduardo provided the book to Hellstrom but when Hellstrom asked how much he owed Eduardo, Eduardo offered to let Hellstrom have the book free of charge in exchange for turning over Blaze. When Hellstrom refused, Eduardo and the other demons attacked Hellstrom and his allies inside the bookstore but Hellstrom and his allies destroyed most of the demons and took Eduardo captive for interrogation.
