History:
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Have yourself a Morlock little Christmas" - BTS) - When Leech had fallen ill, Ape and Annalee brought the little boy to a hospital only to be refused when Leech inadvertently caused a nurse to faint. At whit's end, the Morlocks hijacked an ambulance to acquire medicines which they crashed into the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center where X-Men Storm, Wolverine and Jubilee enjoyed some downtime after doing their Christmas shopping. Begging for help, their official leader, Storm vowed to help Leech.

(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Have yourself a Morlock little Christmas") - The young Marianna and many other Morlocks were present when Ape and Annalee returned with the X-Men. Upon examining the boy, Wolverine was certain Leech couldn't be moved lest he die. It was then decided Wolverine would perform a blood transfusion while they would send for Beast. While Ape transformed into a bed for Wolverine to lay on for the duration of the blood transfusion Marianna took Jubilee and proudly showed her their Christmas tree which nothing more than a small branch with one broken Christmas tree ornament. Marianna then took Jubilee to join them for dinner as it was Christmas Eve. Not long after the blood transfusion was deemed a success as Leech recovered just as Beast arrived. To share the Christmas feeling with the Morlocks, Jubilee gave them the Christmas presents she'd bought earlier for her friends as both X-Men and Morlocks joined in the festivities. Marianna and Leech happily unpacked the presents.

(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Graduation Day" - BTS) - Marianna moved to Genosha where former slave-workers had built their own civilization who viewed Magneto as their leader.

(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Graduation Day") - From Genosha, Marianna, Sunfire, Feral and several other mutants watched the televised debate between Henry Gyrich and Charles Xavier over the "mutant containment bill". Worldwide viewers were shocked when Gyrich attacked Xavier, used an energy disruptor to reveal Xavier's mutant nature to the world. Enraged even one such as Xavier would be attacked on television, Sunfire rallied the Genoshan mutants to stand besides Magneto and declare war on humankind. But when several days later, Magneto addressed his people and calling all mutants from around the world to stand beside them, Marianna wasn't seen.

Comments: Created by Larry Parr, Eric Leward and AKOM Productions. (see Appearances list for full list of artists)

Although unrevealed I believe Marianna's name and likeness was based on Alpha Flight's Marrina Smallwood, the amphibious hero of Plodex descent. Case in point both have blond hair (in a similar cut), green scaly skin and large exaggerated eyes, and basically the same name.
