(Daredevil: Dark Nights#8 (fb) ) - After kissing Misty goodbye and saying he had to return to his office, King ordered her apartment to be exploded. Misty survived, but her dog Bella was killed.

(Daredevil: Dark Nights#8 (fb) - BTS) - King returned to Cuba, where he ruled the towns and streets with his influence. He killed his housekeeper in front of her sister Jackie to remind Jackie who was in charge. He soon got word that Misty had survived the explosion.

(Daredevil: Dark Nights#6 (fb) - BTS) - Hearing that his brother Oscar Gomez had killed Brian "Baby Face" Adams, and that the murder had been witnessed by Nestor Canosa, King sought to stop Canosa from testifying after Gomez was arrested. He hired the Miami-based gang the Tarantulas to kidnap Canosa.

(Daredevil: Dark Nights#8 (fb) - BTS) - King put a plan in place to lure Misty Knight to Cuba.

(Daredevil: Dark Nights#7 (fb) - BTS) - King ordered his aid Carmen Avarez to watch out for any heroes who may come after Canosa once he arrived in Cuba.

(Daredevil: Dark Nights#7) - King played video games with a set of twins, promising the loser that they would be killed by him, and the girl lost just as bodyguards, including Al, entered with Nestor Canosa. Nestor, released from restraints, threw himself in front of the gun, begging to be spared. King instead made the twins fight with swords, and the girl took over Juan's hand as he stabbed her, prompting King to let them both live and get medical care. Carmen reported that she'd fired a shot on the helicopter of Daredevil and Misty Knight, and said they had both survived as King had planned. After Misty was captured, King instructed Carmen to get her dressed and bring her down to him.

(Daredevil: Dark Nights#8) - King sat Misty down to dinner and was taunting her when she threw a knife into his shoulder. As Carmen and the others drew their weapons, King expected Misty to want him again, but she refused, so he drugged her drink. He had Misty strung up then he went to bed, but Daredevil soon attacked. Rebels, led by Jackie and Solan, invaded as Daredevil and Knight defeated Carmen then King. King was soon arrested. He initially tried to rat out others in exchange for a lighter sentence, but he was sent to prison anyway.

The Tarantula gangs masks seem loosely connected to Black Tarantua, but he’s from South America and not Cuba.
