History:
(
Marvel Zombies Destroy! #1 (fb) - BTS) - Learning that the Nazi zombies of Earth-12591 had neared completion of a cross-dimensional battleship (Valhalla's hammer) with which they planned to invade and infest/infect/conquer Earth-616, ARMOR gathered a number of agents to destroy the battleship and thwart the Nazi zombies' plot.

Battlestar and/or Howard the Duck apparently gathered Blazing Skull, Breeze Barton, "Dum Dum" Dugan, Dynaman, Eternal Brain, Flexo, Red Raven, Taxi Taylor, Dragoon of the Dragon-Men of Ligra, and Gur (see comments).

(Marvel Zombies Destroy! #1) - After Howard introduced Dugan to the group, Gur put his hand on Dugan's shoulder and told him, "It is good to have you in our pride. The will now go well."gur-lion-people-ligra-bitezombie

After Red Raven commented that women and war zones didn't mix, Gur advised him, "Do not doubt the predatory skills of a lioness, little bird. And there is no fiercer creature than a mother protecting her cubs."

Gur and the rest of the Ducky Dozen then entered a ship, which Taxi Taylor transmitted to Earth-12591.

They were almost instantly attacked by cannons firring zombies, and Gur originally mistakenly thought they were firing body parts.

Despite a warning from Battlestar, Gur was struck by a zombie, and he roared in pain as the zombie bit into his neck.

Though Gur swiftly tore apart the zombie, he swiftly became a zombie himself.

As Gur turned towards his teammates, noting them to be prey, Howard dropped kicked him out of the plane, and he fell toward the ground far below, noting "Ruination."gur-lion-people-ligra-smashzombie

Comments: Created by Frank Marraffino and Mirco Pierfederici.

We know nothing next to nothing about Gur, but I like to think that he is the descendant of the human Queen Nara and one of the Lion-People whom she took as a lover...possibly Gor. However, there is nothing to support (or contradict) that he is anything more than 100% lion-person.

The fact that Gur worked alongside Dragoon may indicate that the Dragon Men and Lion-People are no longer enemies...or it may not...

Gur's eyes were never clearly shown. The look dark. Terrestrial lions have amber eyes.

Gur's hair color is clearly shown, but I'm fairly color blind. So I asked my wonderful wife, Wendy, for the color of his fur and mane, and that's what she told me.

zombie    Beyond Howard, Battlestar, and Dugan, the other nine members of the Ducky Dozen either were from or based on characters who appeared during the first year of Timely Comics.
However, some of the characters who were supposed to be the originals had significantly different histories than had previously been documented (Eternal Brain, for example), so some or all of them may have been alternate reality counterparts.
Given the involvement of A.R.M.O.R., that's a really easily explanation.

Earth-12591 Loki arranged for Hitler to consume the death spore flower (allegedly plucked from Hel) that transformed him into zombie, plague spread throughout Nazis, who won World War II and then to Asgardians collectively when an Odinsleep deprived Odin investigated and was bitten. Nazi Zombies sought to invade Earth-616, ultimately foiled/destroyed by Ducky Dozen. Marvel Zombies Destroy #1 (2012)

The leonine Gur reminds me of the mnemonic device "LEO the lion says GER": Lose Electrons = Oxidation; Gain Electrons = Reduction

Sometimes there's just not enough text on the character to include all the images you want.
With the profile already crowded,  I cut the images of Gur getting kicked out of the plane and falling. I'm sure you can imagine.
