History:

(Fantastic Four I#115 (fb) / Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Overmind entry / Quasar I#16 (fb)) - Eyung was a ringed planet in the Andromeda galaxy.

(Quasar I#16 (fb)) - Apparently at some point the Celestials visited the world (see comments) that would become known as Eyung, experimenting on its natives and diverging three races, a baseline normal, Deviants, and Eternals.

The Eternals apparently became the dominent race (see comments).

(Fantastic Four I#115 (fb) / Quasar I#16 (fb)) - Eyung developed into "a place of primitive savagery --rampant, unchecked-- yet existing side by side with science and technology to stun the senses!"

Developing a massive space fleet, Eyungians left Eyung to assault other worlds.

When not battling other worlds, Eyungians battled each other and Eyung's various creatures in the Games.

(Fantastic Four I#115 (fb)) - Vowing retribution after the Eyungians destroyed Gigantus, the Gigantans launched a vast armada that soon attacked Eyung. The Gigantans also struck with Reaction Bombs.eyung-eternus-bombed

(Fantastic Four I#115 (fb)) - Seeing their planet was doomed, the Eyungian population transferred their mental powers into their greatest warrior, Grom.

The Over-Mind was transferred to the interstellar beamer, which fired him into the trackless void beyond the galaxies to incubate.

(Fantastic Four I#115 (fb) - BTS) - Eyung was destroyed, and the Eternals of Eyung perished.

Comments: Created by Stan Lee, Archie Goodwin, John Buscema, and Joe Sinnott.

Read the Grom/Over-Mind profile for the history of the Eternals who lived on in Over-Mind's form.

Originally, the planet was not identified, and it was just shown as the world of the "Eternals."

In the original Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition#8: Overmind entry, it was called Eternus.
The world's name was later retconned to Eyung in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Master Edition: Overmind entry.
It was confirmed as Eyung in Quasar I#14-16.

Eyung's galaxy was described by the Watcher as being ancient when the stars of the Milky Way were aborning.
    At least as early as
the original OHotMU entry on the Over-Mind, this galaxy was defined as the Andromeda galaxy. I'm not sure of the relative ages of the Milky Way vs. the Andromeda galaxies; an internet search gives a lot of contradictory information, and I don't know where to go to get the definitive answer.
