History: (Spider-Man Magazine I#8) - The heroic Dr. Dentist fought tooth decay-themed criminals such as Calorie Clown, Dr. Plaque and Dr. Sugar using his dental-themed gadgets.

Comments: Created by Dennis Cain.

Dr. Dentist was a product of the 1994 Spider-Man Magazine's "Create Your Own Super Hero or Super-Villain" section that ran in most earlier issues of the Magazine. In Dr. Dentist's case, he was created by then-11-year-old Dennis Cain of Jackson, Missouri. As a fringe character, Dr. Dentist was not confirmed to exist on Earth-616 though there is equally no evidence to say he didn't exist on Earth-616 either...

Dr. Dentist's height and weight were impossible to approximate, as he was never seen next to any character whose height and weight had been officially determined. Additionally, his hair color (if he even had hair) was impossible to determine as he was only seen wear a tooth-shaped helmet.

Dr. Dentist's origin was never given but, given the strange, four-armed appearance, my vote is that he was a space alien.

I like Dr. Dentist. I know he's kind of silly but I love the idea of his dental-themed gadgets. I imagine the drill gun is pretty much just a drill but perhaps powerful enough to drill through extremely hard material and perhaps his floss whip is capable of holding superhumanly strong opponents. Maybe his mouthwash gun is acidic enough to eat through some solid surfaces. As for his toothpaste grenades, I imagine they explode in a mass of sticky toothpaste that could hold criminals in place and the gas grenades presumably expel "laughing gas" that most dentists use. I think the reflecting mirror is pretty self-explanatory but I imagine the brace gun firing strips of wire to entangle enemies or something like that....but that's just my imagination running wild with the gadget ideas....
