Powers/Abilities: Pale in complexion, Shreck had enhanced strength and dexterity with resistance to pain. He could transform at will into a more bestial form, with long, sharp claws from his fingers and toes, plus extended incisor fangs; this also seemed to make his outer skin more dense and resistant to cuts. Psychopathic in nature, he enjoyed killing people. He had distinctive grayish skin, small nose and a blue tongue, but enjoyed alcohol too much.

History:

(Codename: Firearm#3/2 (fb) - BTS) - Shreck led a gang of eight (including several super-powered ultras) on a cash raid on a supermarket. Police quickly arrived, but Shreck paused to shoot several police officers, ending escape negotiations and initiating a siege. His fellow armed gang members held the customers hostage, but one quiet customer was former secret agent Alec Swan.

(Codename: Firearm#3/2) - A hostage named Jerry, a lawyer, offered to represent the criminals before the police and negotiate better terms. Seeing an opportunity, Shreck pretended to go along with Jerry's idea, but instead set him up as the first dead hostage, shot in front of the police, to kick-start negotiations. Eager for more blood, Shreck then declared all the hostages be killed, but Swan leapt out and threatened a gang member. Shreck and the others instead turned on him, shooting their colleague to try to get at Swan; however, Swan escaped down the aisles. Several gang members gave chase.

(Codename: Firearm#4/2) - Gang member Lovecraft, set on fire by the resourceful Swan, staggered back to Shreck, screaming about pain, so Shreck shot Lovecraft in the head to end the pain. Shreck ordered more gang members go after Swan, but the ex-agent eliminated Remo, Griffin and Kalvin, then two more, letting shopping trolleys deliver the corpses to the frustrated Shreck. The gunman shouted he would kill a hostage every ten seconds if Swan did not surrender. Swan dropped his guns and came forward.

(Codename: Firearm#5/2) - Shreck shot Swan in the shoulder, but the ex-agent threw a knife into Shreck's arm. Shreck shrugged off the injury, transforming into his clawed and fanged form, then attacked Swan. While they fought, Swan shouted to the other hostages to escape and they ran. Swan suspected Shreck might be a vampire, but a warm body indicated otherwise to him. Taking a lesson from deceased ultra-killer Rafferty, Swan jammed an aerosol can in the mouth of Shreck, who was momentarily stunned, then grabbed guns and shot at the can. It exploded, killing Shreck in the process.

   The siege and killings were later reported in the news that night.

At least one gang member was afraid of him, while another thought Shreck had a death wish.

"Shreck" is German for fear/terror. Lovecraft was likely named after the prominent horror writer from the early 20th Century.

Kalvin

Kalvin was a member of Shreck's armed gang and helped in the hold-up of the supermarket, including the hostage-taking of customers.When customer Jerry (a lawyer) offered to represent them, Kalvin and two other gang members gunned him down in front of the police to show they were serious about escaping. However, retired secret agent Alec Swan set gang member Lovecraft on fire and Kalvin watched leader Shreck shoot Lovecraft as a mercy killing. Kalvin and two others were sent down the supermarket aisles to kill Swan, but the ex-agent got to him first, breaking his neck and killing him. Swan then used Kalvin's guns to shoot two other gang members.

   Kalvin displayed no ultra powers, but was proficient in handling guns and criminal activities like murder, robbery and hostage-taking.

Lovecraft

Lovecraft was a member of Shreck's gang. An ultra, he had a large, many-toothed secondary jaw in his gut and was armed only with a simple handgun. He joined Shreck's raid on the supermarket. When retired secret agent Alec Swan stopped the attempted murder of all hostages, then escaped down the supermarket aisles, Lovecraft joined several other gang members pursuing him. Cornered, Swan resourcefully used aerosol hairspray and a lighter to set fire to Lovecraft's head and torso. Shocked and in pain, Lovecraft staggered back to leader Shreck, who shot him in the head to end his pain.

 The source of Lovecraft's ultra powers is unrevealed. He was tall and muscled with a "Leona" tattoo above his left nipple. It's possible the second mouth was only for eating, while the mouth in his head was for speaking and breathing.
