THE EYE OF TRUE NORTH

Classification: Terrestrial magic item

Creator: Unrevealed

User/Possessors: Nina the Conjuror

First Appearance: (mentioned): Doctor Strange & the Sorcerers Supreme I#6 (May, 2017)

Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Eye of True North appeared to allow its possessor to find the proper path to any goal the possessor wished.

History: (Doctor Strange & the Sorcerers Supreme I#6 - BTS) - After several failed attempts to rescue his fellow Sorcerers Supreme from dimensional exile, in which he learned that Nina the Conjuror possessed the Eye of True North and diverged the failures to alternate realities by reversing time with the Lost Bones of Eh-Yuh artifact, Dr. Strange decided to save himself first then rescue each of the Sorcerers. When Earth-13729's Wiccan rescued Nina on Strange's orders, Dr. Strange suggested Nina use the Eye of True North to lead the other Sorcerers Supreme back home and Nina happily did so.

Comments: Created by Robbie Thompson, Javier Rodriguez and Alvaro Lopez.

The Eye of True North was clearly seen in Doctor Strange & the Sorcerers Supreme I#6 when Dr. Strange sent his astral form to rescue Nina the Conjuror first from her dimensional exile but after Strange failed to save the other Sorcerers Supreme, he used the Lost Bones of Eh-Yuh artifact to reverse time, diverging this reality into an alternate reality. Therefore, the actual Earth-616 version of the Eye of True North was not seen, just mentioned, and the version we DID see in the issue was its counterpart from the divergent reality.
