Powers/Abilities: Rook'shir wielded the massively powerful Phoenix Force, though the ways he yielded it remain unrevealed. He channeled the power through a massive sword with which he devastated the Shi'ar Empire. A portion of this power remains in the blade.

History:

(Uncanny X-Men#479 (fb) ) - Many years ago, the powerful Phoenix force (called the Phal’kon) took a Shi’ar host, Rook'shir, who wielded the vast power through an enormous blade. He became an intergalactic outlaw and devastated much of the empire. The Shi’ar formed the powerful Imperial Guard (including, at least, Gladiator, Magic, Mentor, and Quasar) to handle this threat. The Guard, led by Gladiator, slew Rook'shir, though his blade retained a fraction of his power and could only be wielded by his blood heirs. Over the following centuries, the Shi’ar killed and sterilized Rook'shir's heirs and kept the blade protected. Eventually, his descendant Korvus wielded the blade.
