History:

(Daredevil II#92 (fb) - BTS) - New York lawyer Alton Lennox was contacted by Vanessa Fisk, the estranged wife of the Kingpin, in a complicated plot to take down Daredevil (Matt Murdock). Lennox agreed to the plot, doing all Vanessa asked. As Murdock was currently incarcerated at Ryker’s Island, Lennox was instructed to arrange for the death of Murdock’s best friend, Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, at the prison, and to contact another hero to act as Daredevil. In time, Lennox was to travel to Monaco where he could continue the plot with Vanessa’s other operatives, Lily Lucca, Tombstone, and Matador.

(Daredevil II#87 (fb) - BTS) - Lennox approached billionaire Danny Rand, who operated as Iron Fist, and asked him to prowl the streets as Daredevil over the following weeks. Rand, assuming that Lennox was a friend of Murdock’s, agreed. Rand secretly followed Lennox over the following days, but didn’t learn anything bad about him.

(Daredevil II#85 (fb) - BTS) - Lennox visited a man in jail and had him agree to kill attorney Foggy Nelson when he came to visit Matt Murdock. Lennox also made sure that Hammerhead would force CO McHenry to lead Murdock into a fight that would get him put in solitary confinement, and ensured that a guard would arrange for Nelson’s murder to go off without a problem.

(Daredevil II#85 (fb) - BTS) - As he prepared to disappear, Lennox hired two goons, Chico and Merv, to make sure his disappearance remained secret.

(Daredevil II#84 - BTS) - The name of lawyer Alton Lennox was used by Drivin’ Ivan Murphy to Dakota North and Ben Urich. Murphy claimed that Lennox knew the new Daredevil.

(Daredevil II#85 - BTS) - Dakota traveled to Lennox’s building to ask about him, but discovered that he was gone and had left no forwarding address. Chico and Merv were sent after Dakota.

(Daredevil II#87 - BTS) - Chico and Merv were taken down by Rand in his Daredevil costume. Later, Dakota North, Ben Urich, and both Daredevils broke into Lennox’s office and discovered that it’d been cleaned out. They found a plane ticket for Monaco on his fax machine.

(Daredevil II#89 (fb) - BTS) - Lennox stayed at the home of his only client in Monaco, Tybold Lucca, and helped him form a criminal partnership with Spaniard criminal Senor Munoz.

(Daredevil II#89) - At the party announcing the new alliance, Lennox, Tybold, and the assembled guests watched the Matador slay two lions for entertainment. They were all shocked when the Matador stabbed Tybold through the chest shortly after. Lennox tried getting Tybold’s daughter Lily to safety, but the Matador punched Lennox down. When Daredevil surprisingly attacked the Matador, he called Lennox by name and implored him to get to safety. Lennox was shocked that his name was known, but got Lily aboard and helicopter and fled.

(Daredevil II#90 (fb) - BTS) - Lennox and Lily traveled to Sintra, where they stayed in one of Lucca’s manors. They became romantically involved until Lennox was murdered in his bed, possibly by Lily.

(Daredevil II#90) - Daredevil found Lennox’s body.
