Powers/Abilities: While possessed by Yandroth, Stephanie Donal possessed a high level of science and sorcery. She could use magic to create a powerful mystic forcefield capable of repelling the Hulk's blows and Dr. Strange's magic, to teleport long distances, to assert mental control over others, and to cause others psychic pain. She used science to nullify gravity and restore it, and to develop a wrist-launching weapon to drive mind-controlling microscopic into others' brains. After Yandroth left her form, Donal possessed no abilities.
History:
(Defenders I#119 (fb) - BTS) - After Yandroth's mortal form was killed, his
astral form took possession of Stephanie Donal, a chemist whose brain patterns
were almost identical to his. Her personality asserted control over his and she
utilized his knowledge of magic and technology to develop weapons and a plan to
get revenge on the Defenders, who had defeated Yandroth.
(Defenders I#119) - Donal attacked the Hulk first and put him under her power, then, with the Hulk, put Nighthawk, Valkyrie (Brunnhilde), and Hellcat under her power as well. She led the four Defenders against Doctor Strange, who was knocked unconscious by Hulk, and took over Clea. After explaining her origins, she took over Strange, not realizing his astral form had escaped and summoned Sub-Mariner. While she took control of Sub-Mariner, Strange managed to free Hulk and Valkyrie. The Defenders fought each other until they were all freed. When Donal tried asserting mental control over all of them, Yandroth's mind took over and fled. Donal collapsed, her sanity gone.
