Powers/Abilities: The Wonder Man doppelganger was a living fractal, at least originally able to assume the form and attributes of any being real or abstract, but this ability disappeared when the fractal was given a permanent physical form.
Shaped into the basic form of a
twisted Wonder Man counterpart, the Wonder Man doppelganger had powers
similar to Wonder Man including superhuman strength and durability
sufficient to withstand devastating physical attacks from superhumanly
strong opponents. It was also capable of flight under its own power.

History:
(Wonder Man II#13 (fb) - BTS) - The living fractal that
later became the Wonder Man doppelganger was presumably created from
the Dimension of Manifestations by Anthropomorpho as part of a deal
struck with the evil Adam Warlock counterpart known as the Magus (see comments).
(Wonder Man II#15 (fb) - BTS) - The Magus had the
Wonder Man doppelganger designed to be stronger than the true Wonder
Man.
(Wonder Man II#13 (fb) - BTS) - Sent after Earth's
heroes alongside numerous other superhero doppelgangers, the Wonder Man
doppelganger encountered the heroes Spider-Man and Hawkeye, knocking
them unconscious and leaving them for dead.
(Wonder Man I#13) - After learning from the X-Men's
Wolverine that Hawkeye and Spider-Man had also been attacked by
doppelgangers of Iron Man and Mister Fantastic, the Avengers Wonder
Man, Hercules and Thor flew over to investigate, finding the
unconscious heroes right where the Wonder Man doppelganger had left
them. Picking them to get the heroes medical attention, Hercules
wondered aloud who could have left the heroes there to die, at which
point the Wonder Man doppelganger revealed his presence, surprising the
real Wonder Man. Announcing that the real Wonder Man's time was
finished, the doppelganger delivered a fierce punch that knocked Wonder
Man through a water tower and onto a car on the street. The
doppelganger quickly caught up to the real Wonder Man and delivered
several more punches and a knee to Wonder Man's face, downing the hero,
who was still reeling at seeing such a dark reflection of himself.
Proclaiming that it would now replace the hero, the Wonder Man
doppelganger moved closer to the hero and asked that the hero make it
prove it was the better by hitting the hero more. Overcoming his
confusion at having to face his own dark reflection, the angry Wonder
Man rallied and savagely attacked the doppelganger, only for the
doppelganger to dodge the attack and flip the hero onto the ground.
Thor then intervened, hitting the Wonder Man doppelganger with his
hammer, at which point the doppelganger proclaimed that Thor and
Hercules were not for it but their time would come. The doppelganger
then silently flew away, content to destroy and replace Wonder Man
another day.
(Wonder Man II#14 - BTS) - The next day, when Wonder
Man's powers fluctuated in front of his allies, Hercules questioned
whether Wonder Man was okay, noting that he had witnessed Wonder Man
fly into a rage the day before during his encounter with the Wonder Man
doppelganger. Wonder Man became more enraged upon hearing the mention
of his doppelganger, exclaiming his anger at the thing taking his shape
and taunting him with his own inhumanity.
(Wonder Man II#15) - During a
battle in space alongside several of Earth's heroes against numerous
doppelgangers, Wonder Man was again confronted by his own doppelganger,
who remarked that it was now Wonder Man's chance to either kill it or
be replaced. The Avengers' Living Lightning exclaimed that the
doppelganger could never replace but the real Wonder Man motioned
Living Lightning aside, insisting the fight was his. The doppelganger
agreed, announcing that at the end of their fight, there would be only
one and Wonder Man leaped into battle against his doppelganger. The two
exchanged devastating blows against one another but the increasingly
enraged Wonder Man, angry and questioning whether or not he was
anything more than an ionic furnace, took out all of his pent-up anger
on the doppelganger, ultimately decapitating it. After violently
decapitating his doppelganger, Wonder Man realized that he felt no
different having conquered his doppelganger and he slumped down,
realizing that he'd become exactly what Baron
Heinrich
Zemo had transformed him into: a destructor. He then laid
down, resting his head on the lifeless body of his doppelganger, as the
other hero doppelgangers surrounded him.

While we never saw it on-panel,
it's very likely that the Wonder Man doppelganger, like all of the
other Infinity War doppelgangers, was originally a living fractal given
form by Anthropomorpho in the Dimension of Manifestations on the orders
of the Magus, especially considering that the doppelganger in Wonder
Man II#15 yells that the Magus had designed him to be stronger than
Wonder Man. We're just never actually shown the doppelganger being
given form and in his appearances, there is absolutely no mention of
Anthropomorpho or the Dimension of Manifestations.
Like the other doppelgangers, the
Wonder Man doppelganger could have likely been reconstituted in a new
fractal body within the Dimension of Manifestations but it has so far
never resurfaced following its decapitation.
