Powers/Abilities: The Vampire Refrigerator apparently had all of the abilities of a conventional refrigerator. Its upper compartment was almost certainly its freezer component.

Additionally, it had a pair of eyes, granting it vision, and fanged teeth (with prominent canine teeth, but also apparently six sharp incisor-like teeth) on its upper door, which most likely contained its freezer compartment (when it was closed, of course).

    It could speak or otherwise project its voice somehow.
    Although it did not have visible ears, it apparently could hear, as it could respond to speech from others.
    Or perhaps it was telepathic and only seemed to be speaking while it was really transmitting and receiving thoughts.

More notably, it could command other appliances, presumably via telepathy, but perhaps via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.

It may have been able to transform appliances to grow limbs and facial features, or perhaps the appliances had such features but were normally submerged.

The Vampire Refrigerator possessed arms and legs, granting it the ability to walk and grasp, strike, etc. objects or beings.

It also possessed bat-ling wings, which likely granted it the ability to fly, or perhaps only hover, or maybe they just assisted with balance.

It used a cape, most likely because it looked cool...

History:

(Crazy Magazine#74 (fb) - BTS) - Apparently seeking to control the "Odd Dimension," the Vampire Refrigerator took control of a laundromat within the block of Earth in the Odd Dimension. It caused the washing machines to run around the laundromat, chewing up everyone's laundry and spitting the shreds at anyone who came close to them.

(Crazy Magazine#74 - BTS) - Beverly warned Howard about what was going on, but he refused to believe it until he got a torn up dress spit in his face.

(Crazy Magazine#74) - As Howard wondered what was going on, the Vampire Refrigerator introduced itself, telling him that the washing machines were his underlings and that unless "you make me king of this 'Corner of the Cosmos,' I'm gonna have to mystically transform everybody's clothes into purple ankle sock." vampire_refrigerator-steaked

It further added that in case they didn't care about your clothes, he pointed out that he could mentally control every appliance "around this place."

"You've got twenty minutes to make up your mind! And if I'm not king when the the time's up -- boy, are you gonna be in trouble!"

(Crazy Magazine#74 - BTS) - In response, Howard took Beverly to Joe's Diner and ordered the largest, juiciest porterhouse steak Joe had, smothered in onions. He then strapped the meat to the hood of an old Volkswagon <sic> and...

(Crazy Magazine#74) - ...drove a steak through the vampire's heart.

The refrigerator's arms and legs vanished, turning back into an ordinary refrigerator.

What the dealy-o?

Did the Vampire Refrigerator originate in the "Odd Dimension" or elsewhere?
Was it a refrigerator bitten by a vampire?
Was it a vampire transformed into a refrigerator?
Was it actually a vampire? It noted "They call me the Vampire Refrigerator," rather than saying, "I am the Vampire Refrigerator" or "I am a Vampire Refrigerator," or "I am an enchanter...there are those who call me...Tim..."
Being destroyed by a steak (a homophone of "stake, and thus the joke...) would seem to argue that it was a vampire, however, being hit by a car may have been enough to destroy the refrigerator...
Did it drink blood or freon? Or both? Or neither?
Is it from a realm of sentient appliances?
Is it from a realm of appliant sentiences?
Could it close its freezer door without breaking off its teeth?
Why does "fridge" have a "d" when "refrigerator" does not? Presumably because "frige" might be likely to be pronounced "Fryj"...
