History:

(Darkhawk II#5 (fb) - BTS) - After her brother Derek died, Sarah attended his funeral.

    She was presumably unaware that Derek was involved with criminal activities alongside Shawn Trella and had been killed by Shawn's superior, A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) Mr. Colt; or that Derek's best friend and fellow basketball player, Connor Young had become the super-heroic Darkhawk and that Derek had been slain after he had learned that Connor was Darkhawk and refused to fight him further.lu-sarah-dhcy-funeral

(Darkhawk II#5) - Sarah confronted Connor Young, who was having trouble dealing with Derek's death (and his own involvement in Derek's death as well as his recent diagnosis of multiple sclerosis) and was sitting in another room. She advised him that he had missed the pizza from Patrizzia's, which had been delivered two hours ago and was now gone.

    Grabbing a cup of coffee, Sarah admitted that she was not certain of the timeframe, as things could get a little blurred standing by the casket all evening. Connor told her that he was so sorry about her brother, and she told him that Derek had really looked up to him. She continued that it would have been hard not to, the way Connor had towered over him and with Derek having spent his life in Connor's shadow.

    As photographers took pictures of Connor -- as he had been one of America's hottest basketball prospects, Sarah pulled the curtain to block them, noting that Derek was not free of being under Connor's shadow, even in death.

    As Woodlawn High School Banshees coach Pavlich and Empire State University's coach Woodward arrived to talk to Connor, the frustrated Sarah walked out, resenting that there were more people there for Connor.

    Sarah returned to the main room and stood by Derek's open casket.

(Darkhawk II#5 - BTS) - When the now cybernetically-enhanced Shawn Trella showed up and confronted Connor, he departed with Shawn to prevent a violent confrontation amongst the innocent mourners. lu-sarah-dhcy-face2

(Darkhawk II#5) - After defeating Shawn as Darkhawk, Connor called Sarah, but she refused to answer the call.
