Powers/Abilities: Ignatz is an extremely small Deviant about the size of a small lizard. His brain is evidently similar to that of an insect as Ant-Man's cybernetic helmet is able to perform telepathic communication with him. He possesses wings instead of arms and can fly.

History:

(Heroes for Hire I#6) - As Kro led his Kommandos against the forces of Ghaur in Lemuria he encountered Iron Fist and Ant-Man of Heroes for Hire and formed an alliance with them to prevent the activation of Ghaur's Anti-Mind. Ant-Man asked Kro for an ant to help him reconnoiter Ghaur's forces and Kro suggested Ant-Man use his follower Ignatz. Ant-Man discovered he could communicate with Ignatz using his cybernetic helmet. Working together the duo found where Ghaur's forces were holding Heroes for Hire members Black Knight, Luke Cage and White Tiger with Sersi and Thena of the Eternals. Finding Kro's ally Karkas was under Ghaur's control, Ant-Man shocked him with his stinger to free him from mind control and release the prisoners. Thena's children Deborah and Donald Ritter destroyed the Anti-Mind in their guise as the Dark Angel but Ghaur sent his loyal Deviants after the Heroes for Hire and Kro's Kommandos.

(Heroes for Hire I#7) - Ignatz continued to serve as Ant-Man's steed as he fought the Deviants but Ghaur finally called off the battle, claiming a stalemate. Ignatz accompanied the Heroes for Hire as they returned to Manhattan.

(Heroes for Hire I#12) - Ignatz flew Ant-Man into battle at Hydra Island as Heroes for Hire battled the Master and his Strike Force One clones. Ant-Man and Ignatz fought Ant-Man's clone Stinger, who rode on a mechanical steed.

(Heroes for Hire I#15) - Ignatz accompanied Ant-Man into a confrontation with the High Evolutionary's Knights of Wundagore at Haven and battled Lady Vermin, whose weaponry stunned Ignatz. The High Evolutionary then used Isotope E on the Heroes for Hire, de-devolving them into ape-like creatures.

(Quicksilver I#11) - The Heroes for Hire and Ignatz were found by Quicksilver. When the effects of Isotope E faded, Ant-Man rode Ignatz into battle against the Acolytes, who had invaded Haven. The Acolytes teleported away rather than face the heroes.

(Heroes for Hire I#16) - Ignatz joined the Heroes for Hire and Quicksilver at the Citadel of Science in Transia for a confrontation against the combined forces of the Acolytes and the Knights of Wundagore, who were now in the service of the Man-Beast. Ant-Man and Ignatz again fought Lady Vermin. Unfortunately they were both quickly defeated along with the other heroes.

(Quicksilver I#12) - Ignatz was imprisoned in the Citadel of Science inside a transparent sphere. Quicksilver freed himself then set the Heroes for Hire and Ignatz loose. The heroes again fought the Acolytes and Knights of Wundagore.

(Heroes for Hire I#19) - As the Heroes for Hire's corporate owners Oracle, Inc. were bought out by Stark-Fujikawa the team went their separate ways as Ant-Man departed Oracle, Inc. astride Ignatz one last time.

One assumes Ignatz went back to Lemuria. Heaven knows Scott Lang's life has been plenty busy since Heroes for Hire ended!
