Powers/Abilities: Geiomar is an immortal humanoid mutated by the magics of Chthon. He possessed a leach-like maw filled with razor sharp teeth, which he normally hid behind a face plate that looked like it was made of an undetermined liquid metal he could mentally control. He regained his immortality by regularly feeding on the energies of other demon-touched beings after feeding and could fire powerful energy blasts from his maw that cut through flesh with ease.

   He was well versed in Chthonic Verses and used this dark magic as necessary to open portals, stay hidden and make the energies of his loyal vampires palatable to him.

History:
(Captain America: Unforgiven#1 (fb)) - Geiomar was the last of the First Men when he was approached by the Elder God Chthon. When Homo Sapiens arrived Chthon saw their abstract thinking, morals and common faith as a threat to his dominion of darkness and fear. He offered to Geiomar to become immortal, sustained by feeding on the Chthonic energies of the demon-touched. In return Geiomar would infiltrate and assassinate the religions of Homo Sapiens by corrupting their faiths and tainting them with selfishness and cruelty. Geiomar made them susceptible to Chthon's sway by reflecting their inverses back at them.

(Captain America: Unforgiven#1 (fb) - BTS) - Geiomar did his job well over many millennia.

   A secret hospital ward gave a group of vampires that had been turned as babies to Geiomar, who was known to them as the Leach, to appease him. Geiomar allowed the babies to age by feeding on their energies. The babies became the Leach clan.

   Leach kept running the hospital ward, which was actually a hidden Temple to Chthon, but his focus changed away from medicine and became the self-help guru known as Bobby Quench and turned the ward into the Quench Center for the Self, which was located in Upstate New York.

(Captain America: Unforgiven#1 (fb) - BTS) - During the modern era Chthon was defeated and contained by the Scarlet Witch. In Chthon's absence Geiomar decided to take his lord's place on Earth.

(Spider-Man: Unforgiven#1 (fb) - BTS) - Geiomar sent the vampire Corey (as Redblood) to infiltrate the Forgiven and kill their leader Raizo Kodo.

(Captain America: Unforgiven#1 (fb) - BTS) - Kodo was targeted by Geiomar because he taught vampires to restrain themselves from feeding, which was counterproductive to Geiomar's plans to create his new doctrine that needed a blood sacrifice on Winter Solstice when Geiomar was the strongest.

(X-Men: Unforgiven#1 (fb) - BTS) - Many humans and mutants went to the Quench Center for the Self and ended up becoming victims of Quench and his vampires after graduation.

   Their remains were presumably taken care of by the Curator, who lost some crates during a storm.

(Spider-Man: Unforgiven#1 (fb) - BTS) - Crates filled with exsanguinated body parts of mutants and humans washed up ashore near Colony Beach off the coast of Kennebunkport, Maine.

(Spider-Man: Unforgiven#1) - Bobby Quench looked at pictures and articles of the Forgiven in his office at the Quench Center for the Self when Corey returned after completing her mission to Raizo Kodo. Janice, who was working the front desk, told her that Quench was busy until the holiday, but he overheard the conversation of the two women and told Janice to let Corey in because she had been out in the world for a long time and needed communion with him.

(X-Men: Unforgiven#1 - BTS) - The X-Men and the Forsaken investigated the source of the body parts and found the Curator, who seemingly helped the likes of Quench and Salomé to get rid of dead bodies.

(X-Men: Unforgiven#1) - Bobby Quench addressed another graduation class of the Quench Center for the Self and congratulated them on shedding old tribal definitions, nationality, religion and species. He then introduced them to the children that helped him start the center and because he knew that nobody would be looking for the newest graduates. His vampire children fed on the graduates under Chthonic chants and as their victims' blood flowed into their mouths, Quench fed on the vampires' energies. He quickly slew a mutant that nearly got away because Corey wasn't feeding on him.

   After the ceremony Quench confronted Corey about not feeding on the graduates, which surprised him because she was usually one of the most ravenous. He hoped she wasn't feeding on people on the side, but then remembered that she had infiltrated the Forgiven for him. He hoped that had not been confused by Raizo Kodo's teachings and sent her home to get some rest and read her Chthonic Verses. Quench ordered Janice to follow Corey the whole way home and deal with her if necessary.

(X-Men: Unforgiven#1 - BTS) - Janice followed Corey to the Forgiven's secret base. She tried to kill Corey when she tried to tell them about Bobby Quench's plans. Captain America stopped her and Janice escaped.

(Captain America: Unforgiven#1) - Janice returned to the Quench Institute for the Self and told Quench that she had only failed to destroy Corey because Captain America was there to stop her. Quench was disappointed in her failure and planned to punish her, but Corey instead gave herself up to Quench and her siblings.

(Captain America: Unforgiven#1 - BTS) - Zawadi shared all she knew about Geiomar with Captain America and the Forgiven, but her visions didn't show her where he was that moment. Inka on the other hand knew from the Necronomicon, which was in possession of Elizabeth Nikos, about a group of vampire babies that were adopted by a being called the Leach, who was now running a self-help institute under the name Bobby Quench. The Forgiven, Captain America and Zawadi quickly headed to Upstate, New York where the Quench Institute for Self was located.

(Captain America: Unforgiven#1) - Geiomar had Corey put into a machine by her siblings as punishment for her betrayal. The machine would inject her with blood and Quench would feed on her energies until she would eventually burst. He used this energy to spread his influence, using the Call of Chthon during the longest night of the year, to all demon-touched beings on Earth and make them the predators they were supposed to be.

   Zawadi used her Hellfire Helix-empowered spear to open a portal to the hidden Temple to Chthon long enough for Captain America and the Forgiven to make their way inside. They fought their way through a horde of vampires before getting to Quench, who was still feeding on Corey and had opened a portal to the Flickering Realms. Captain America hit Quench with his shield to get him away from Corey. The Forgiven fought Quench, who was not so easily taken down, while Captain America freed Corey. Eventually the Forsaken were cornered and Cap used his shield to block Quench's energy blast powered by his connection to the Flickering Realms. Eventually Nighteyes and Ghost Blade held down Quench while Inka turned to mist and entered his body through his maw with a Lightbender Amulet that Visigoth had turned into a Sun-Bomb. The bomb exploded and destroyed Geiomar leaving nothing behind but his skeleton.

   It is a mystery who Geiomar's First Men were. Geiomar was not hairy enough to have been a member of the same race as the Wanderers. Maybe he was a descendant of the children seen in X-Men: Giant-Size#1 (July, 2011) that were born 2.5 million years ago (or were they supposed be Homo Sapiens already?). Maybe he was part of the same humanoid race that Brrkk and Vnn belonged to that existed around 1 million years ago and like Geiomar looked pretty much like regular Homo Sapiens. We don't know for sure, but Geiomar was the last one and now this race is history in the Marvel Universe.

   L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter created Gayomar, the first of all men, in the novel Conan of the Isles (October, 1968). His name seems to be the inspiration for this character. He was mentioned in Conan the Barbarian Annual I#7 (1982).

   The sorceress Salomé saw in the tattooed flesh of the tortured the arrival of someone shaking up the supernatural world. This was presumably meant to be Geiomar aka. the Leach aka. Bobby Quench.

   The Quench Institute for Self presumably were clients of the Curator (Dr. Roy Powell), who took care of the remains of their victims.

   Janice, Corey and the other adopted vampire children originally appeared in Adventures into Terror#4 (June, 1951) in the story Vampire Brats. In this story the nursing home was located on 28 Bleeker Street, which was clearly meant to be in New York City in that story. This changed in the Unforgiven one-shot to Upstate New York and using Google I actually found out that there is a Bleeker Street in Utica, which is in Upstate New York. Maybe this is where the Quench Institute was these days.

   In Captain America: Unforgiven during the attack on the hidden temple the number of vampires serving Quench was much higher then his usual adopted children. It is unclear if these were more adopted children or just regular vampires that had joined his cause.

   He reminds me a bit of Pinocchio in when you wish upon a star

   He also looks similar to the Supernaturals TV series villains known as the Leviathans.
