History:

(Nomad II#4 (fb) - BTS) - Troy Donahue was a high-ranking member of the Los Angeles mob run by Lotus Newmark, with his operations based in Las Vegas, Nevada. At one point, Troy was involved in one of Lotus' criminal dealings that crossed those of the shadowy crimelord Mr. Tolliver. Although Lotus and Tolliver both lost out from the deal, Tolliver harbored a grudge against Lotus and Troy. Troy was brother-in-law to Carl Burbank, alias Bushwacker. Troy divorced his wife when she became addicted to drugs, then took away their daughter to raise by himself. Troy began seeing the prostitute Legs. Just before a week-long summit of crime bosses was set to happen in Las Vegas to divvy up the Kingpin's empire, Troy sent his daughter to Miami, Florida to be taken care of by his mother, in case any of Lotus' rivals tried to use her against him.

(Nomad II#4) - Troy took Legs with him to see a casino stage show when they were confronted by Bushwacker who smacked Legs aside then held his gun-arm at Troy's head, demanding he turn over his daughter to him, thinking he could reconcile with his own wife by forcing Troy to surrender his daughter. However, Bushwacker was stopped by Nomad, a friend of Legs, who had come to help her. As Nomad and Bushwacker fought, Troy and Legs fled the casino.

    Troy brought Legs to their hotel room, ignoring her protests that Nomad was a friend of hers as he warned her about Bushwacker. Troy told Legs he had a meeting to attend and threw her a roll of money. Heading to another hotel, Troy entered the meeting of the various criminals and their representatives, hosted by the Word, who represented the Red Skull. Troy's fellow guests included Andreas von Strucker, Werner von Strucker, Justin Hammer, Mr. Tolliver, Jonin, Tombstone, Tatsu'o, the Slug, Hammerhead and members of the Secret Empire. Before the meeting could begin, Mr. Tolliver complained about sharing the table with Troy, claiming he'd stolen from him. Troy pointed out that their dealings had happened a year before and they'd both lost on that deal. The Word encouraged them to set aside their old animosities.

    When Troy left the meeting and returned to his hotel room, he found Nomad waiting for him. Just as Nomad asked Troy why he should protect him from Bushwacker, Tolliver's operative Deadpool burst into the room to kill Troy. Deadpool and Nomad fought while Troy fled the hotel.

    Troy ran from the hotel into the street, only to run straight into Bushwacker. Bushwacker insisted that Troy's ex-wife had gotten off drugs and was fit to be a mother again. Troy told Bushwacker he'd sent his daughter out of town with Legs, so Bushwacker went in pursuit of her. As Troy paused to catch his breath, Deadpool reappeared and shot Troy in the head, killing him.
