Powers/Abilities: Captain America possesses the peak human physical attributes shared by Earth-616's Captain America, Steve Rogers, including strength, stamina, speed, agility, reaction time, physical efficiency and senses. Much like Steve Rogers-616, Peggy Carter's enhanced physiology presumably provides resistance to diseases and automatically eliminates excessive buildup of fatigue-causing poisons and she can presumably run for 30mph for extended periods and lift up to 800 pounds with considerable effort.
She is a master of hand-to-hand combat, having been trained as a government agent, and is also a master in the use of firearms.
Captain America also carries a
nigh-indestructible
metallic shield which she can throw in such a way that it ricochets
back into her hands after being thrown. She uses this shield both
offensively and defensively.

(Marvel Puzzle Quest video game) - Following an outbreak of the Iso-8 isotope in the modern era of Earth-13178 that allowed supervillain Norman Osborn to take control of National Security, causing a war between Earth's heroes and Osborn's Iso-8-empowered villains, Captain America was one of several heroes briefly transported from their own reality to Earth-13178 to join the fight against Osborn.

apparently returned to her proper place and time period on Earth-86315.
(Women of Marvel II#1/2)
- In February 1943, the Special Operations Executive (SOE) organization
sent Captain America into the Vichy region of France to help locate a
French resistance spy who was being hunted by Nazis. Parachuting in
Marseilles, Captain America quickly donned a trench coat and stashed
her shield in a large bag to scout the city in search of the spy. When
a young girl beckoned to her, Captain America followed, despite
thinking she was being led into a trap, but she soon met with
Liliane, the spy for whom she had been searching.
Captain America quickly
informed Liliane that she had to get out of France, as the Nazis were
hunting her like a fox, but Liliane expressed a desire to stay and
finish the good work she was doing there. Liliane then led Captain
America into a nearby bar so they could discuss matters away from prying
eyes, but their discussion was interrupted when German soldiers entered
the bar. When one of the soldiers noticed Captain America's shield and
Liliane's metal prosthetic leg, he became suspicious, and a fight soon
broke out. Captain America and Liliane easily defeated the soldiers
and, following the fight, after which Captain America again tried to
convince
Liliane to get out of France for her own safety. Liliane explained how,
if she returned with Captain America, she would be benched by the SOE
due to her prosthetic leg. Relating to Liliane's situation, Captain
America ultimately returned to the SOE and lied, telling them that
Liliane had already disappeared before Cap had been able to find her.
When the SOE officer questioned why Captain America was not able to
find a disabled spy who named her prosthetic leg, Captain America slyly
replied that Liliane was unstoppable.
(Exiles III#2 - BTS) - When a group of rogue
Reality-616 Watchers including Acitua attempted to destroy the Unseen,
Earth-295's Blink intercepted the blast, shattering her
extradimensional Tallus device. As the Tallus shattered, glimpses of
other realities were seen in its shard, including a brief glimpse of
Captain America and the Red Skull on Earth-86315.
(Exiles III#3 (fb) - BTS)
- Ordered to take down the
Red Skull, Captain America was told to expect a new team of special
agents to assist on her mission.
(Exiles III#3) - When the reality-hopping Exiles arrived on Earth-86315, they were immediately interrogated by the heroic Becky Barnes, but Captain America soon arrived and asked Becky to stand down, as she expected special agents to join them. Unaware that the Exiles were not the special agents she was expecting, Captain America remarked on the Exiles' strange costumes but also commented on her own, being a British citizen wearing the American flag. Introducing herself as Peggy Carter to the Exiles, Captain America thanked the Exiles for the sacrifice and commented that no one would care how any of them dressed once they took down the Red Skull.
When the Exiles asked to be "re-briefed" on their mission, playing on Captain America's misunderstanding that they were her special agents, Captain America remarked on how odd the group was, nearly asking about Valkyrie's winged horse Elendil before focusing on the mission. Explaining how the Red Skull was currently in a flying fortress intent on dropping an atomic bomb on New York City, Captain America revealed that there mission was to stop the Red Skull at all costs. Soon after, the Exiles accompanied Captain America, Becky Barnes and the Howling Commandos military unit on a plane towards New York and along the way, Captain America discussed the potential devastation of the atomic bomb with the Howling Commando Izzy. Soon arriving at the Red Skull's flying fortress, Captain America, Becky Barnes, the Howling Commandos and the Exiles stormed the fortress, making their way inside to confront the Red Skull personally.
Captain America used her shield to destroy the fortress' controls, but the Red Skull gloated that he had already activated his Suicide Engine that would plow his fortress into the city below, detonating the atomic bomb. Announcing that they had all signed up for their mission together, Captain America threw down some dynamite and commented that her actions were for Steve Rogers. The Exiles quickly realized Captain America's mission was a suicide mission, and Blink teleported the Exiles, the Howling Commandos, Captain America and Becky Barnes, along with the atomic bomb, out of the Red Skull's flying fortress and to the ground, leaving the Skull with the dynamite. Once safely on the ground, Captain America asked for a status update on all of her troops and commented that they all earned some R&R. The heroes then celebrated their victory, but the Exiles' Wolvie soon picked up a dangerous smell, and the Exiles' Iron Lad confirmed that the atomic bomb had been damaged somehow. As the bomb detonated, the Exiles were teleported away by Blink's Tallus, leaving only charred bones and Captain America's shield behind after the detonation.

BTS) - Captain America and Becky
Barnes were plucked from Earth-86315 at the very moment of the atomic
bomb explosion by a group of rogue alien Watchers from Reality-616. She
was then placed in a prison cell.
(Exiles III#4 - BTS) - Upon the Exiles' arrival on Earth-66881, the Exiles' Iron Lad expressed hope to the other Exiles that Earth-86315's Captain America had survived the explosion.
(Exiles III#8) - When the rogue Watchers of Reality-616 put the Exiles on trial for interfering with realities, they brought out Captain America and Becky Barnes to testify as the Exiles' accomplices. Captain America immediately asked Blink what was going on, revealing how she and Becky had seen the atomic bomb explosion and then were suddenly with the Watchers. Blink admitted to Captain America that she only knew half of what was going on with the Watchers and that that half would take forever to explain. Blink then insisted to the Watchers that Captain America and Becky had not been accomplices, but the Watchers disagreed and demanded that the two Earth-86315 heroes give their testimony.
When Captain America exclaimed that the Watchers would get nothing more than name, rank and serial number, Blink quietly informed Captain America that the Watchers would kill them if they didn't comply, and Captain America reluctantly agreed to go along with the Watchers' demands for the time being. After recounting her life up until that point, Captain America watched as another Exiles' ally, Earth-18136's King, recounted his story. Blink soon began plotting an escape from the Watchers, and Captain America and Becky Barnes joined the Exiles in subsequently attempting an escape. Before a battle with the Watchers could truly begin, however, Blink's Tallus teleported all of the heroes away.
(Exiles III#9) - Transported to the medieval Earth-38191 in Baghdad, Captain America found herself in the den of Black Cat and her Forty Thieves. Thinking Captain America had uncovered her hideout, Black Cat immediately attacked despite Captain America's insistence that she hadn't even been searching for the hideout. When Black Cat mentioned her Forty Thieves, Captain America noted the similarities to the Arabian Nights stories as Becky Barnes and Reality-22681's Valkyrie came to her aid. Black Cat soon ordered one of her Thieves, the sorcerer Sayeed, to capture Captain America and Valkyrie in a mystic net, and the Forty Thieves took Becky captive. The Forty Thieves then sealed the cave behind them as they took Becky inside.
Cap and Valkyrie struggled to break through the stone blocking the entrance until Captain America recalled the Arabian Nights stories once more and said "open sesame," causing the boulder to move and allow them through. Entering the cave, Captain America and Valkyrie found it empty and as they followed the stream inside, hoping to locate the Forty Thieves, Captain America discussed with Valkyrie how Becky Barnes had taken a liking to Valkyrie. Valkyrie admitted she had become fond of Becky as well, and Captain America lightheartedly warned that if Valkyrie broke Becky's heart, she would pay dearly. Valkyrie assured Captain America she had no need to worry before she noticed a boat. Captain America deduced that the stream must lead back out of the cave, and the two boarded the boat to continue their efforts to track down the Thieves. The boat soon came across a small island, where Cap and Valkyrie reunited with their Exiles teammates. Cap revealed Becky's kidnapping to her teammates but, before a rescue attempt could be devised, Becky came walking out of a nearby group of palm trees. A surprised Cap asked how Becky had gotten free, and Becky explained how she had fought her way past the Forty Thieves. Blink's Tallus then activated on its own and transported the Exiles to the location of the missing Nocturne, who had been forced into the role of Shahrazad by the evil Caliph Doom.
(Exiles III#10) - Upon
seeing Cap and the Exiles,
Caliph Doom accused Nocturne of summoning them and attempted to kill
her, but Captain America blocked the blast with her shield. Cap then
ordered the Exiles to regroup and press the attack, and Blink chimed for
the Exiles to follow her, prompting Captain America to apologize for
taking command. Blink assured Cap it was fine, and the Exiles jumped
into battle against Caliph Doom's Doombots. The Exiles were swiftly
overwhelmed and when Blink's flying carpet appeared, Blink teleported
Cap and the Exiles onto the carpet to escape. As the carpet flew off at
high speed, seemingly of its own accord, Captain America remarked that
she had flown a Spitfire and a Thunderbolt but nothing as fast as the
carpet. The carpet soon deposited the Exiles in an oasis, where they
were met by Black Cat and sorcerer Hakeem Strange, who wished to ally
with the Exiles against Caliph Doom. At first skeptical, considering
that both Black Cat and Hakeem Strange had earlier attacked members of
the Exiles, Captain America and the Exiles nonetheless agreed to
accompany Black Cat back to her camp to discuss the matter
further.
As they discussed the problems with the insane Caliph Doom, Captain America remarked to King how she had never had much use for her British monarchy, but King reminded her that a king is more than the throne beneath him and expressed his desire to aid against the Caliph. Cap admitted she had no argument against helping those affected by the Caliph's madness but commented that it was Blink's call to make, not hers. As Blink decided the Exiles would aid against the Caliph, Caliph Doom appeared before them with the djinn Mephisto at his command. Cap and the Exiles immediately fought against Caliph Doom, who summoned mechanical creatures to attack them until Blink used her teleportation powers to sever Caliph Doom's hand. Without the Ring of Solomon at his command, Caliph Doom was betrayed by Mephisto, who was no longer bound by the Ring, and the Exiles watched as Caliph Doom came to his senses and accepted his fate with Mephisto. Following Caliph Doom's defeat, Nocturne decided to stay on Earth-38191, and the Tallus soon teleported Captain America and the other Exiles away. During the teleportation, Captain America admitted that while it was a noble sentiment that the Tallus had sent them to Earth-38191 to free its people from Caliph Doom, she would like to know who was guiding the Exiles to their missions. Emerging from Blink's portal on Earth-616, Cap and the Exiles found themselves facing a second group of Exiles led by former Exiles member Khan of Earth-81111.
(Exiles III#11) - Despite Blink's attempts to calm the situation, Khan's Exiles, who had been assembled by the Reality-616 rogue Watchers, attacked Blink's team, and both Captain America and Becky Barnes faced off against Earth-35429's Captain, a hulkling, savage Steve Rogers. Emotionally affected seeing Steve Rogers twisted in such a way, Peggy attempted to reach the near-mindless creature despite Becky's insistence that it was not Peggy's Steve Rogers. When Becky was punched by the Captain, Peggy rushed to Becky's defense but was equally knocked unconscious and tossed over in a pile with the other defeated members of Blink's Exiles. The barely conscious Blink managed to teleport Captain America and her Exiles to a nearby island, where Cap and the others recovered. The team then discussed how Khan's Exiles seemed to be assembled with the intent on countering Blink's team and as the discussion continued, Captain America admitted her suspicions that Khan's team would not come after Blink's team but rather, would go after those closest to Blink.
Realizing Khan's team was going to go after the Earth-616 counterpart of her aunt Sandra, Blink teleported Cap and the others to Sandra's vacation home in the Bahamas, where Khan's team was waiting for them. Another fight broke out between the two teams of Exiles and Captain America again faced the Captain until Blink suggested they switch opponents. Valkyrie knocked the Captain into a rock, apparently killing him, and Peggya paused for a moment upon seeing the Captain's body but Becky Barnes yelled for her to snap out of it as Earth-24530's X-2/3rds attacked. Earth-52191's Killmonger then attempted to sneak up on Captain America and fired a blast from her gauntlet. Snapping out of her momentarily pause, Captain America deflected Killmonger's blast into X-2/3rds. Captain America then suggested Killmonger surrender and when Killmonger refused, Captain America easily took Killmonger down with one throw of her shield. Captain America then regrouped with the rest of her team as Wolvie convinced Khan to stop the fight. Khan's team was then teleported away, and Blink decided it was time for her Exiles to confront the rogue Watchers.
(Exiles III#12) -
Captain America and the Exiles
emerged from Blink's teleportational portal on Earth-616's Moon, and
Blink immediately and angrily confronted the rogue Watchers. When the
Exiles rushed to attack the rogue Watchers, however, they were each
cast into torturous, damaged realities in which they lived out the
nightmarish lives of their counterparts. In Captain America's case, she
was thrust into Earth-61351, where Baron Zemo used an army of
Super-Soldiers created from her blood to conquer the world for the
Nazis. Blink soon managed to free herself and, with the help of Iron
Lad, who stayed behind in his horrible reality to ensure the safety of
his teammates, Blink managed to free Captain America and her other
teammates from their horrible prison realities. Before the Exiles could
renew their fight against the rogue Watchers, they were interrupted by
the arrival of Reality-616's true Watchers, who took the rogues into
custody. Returning to Earth-616, Peggy and the Exiles held a tribute
for Iron Lad. The next day, Peggy and her teammates asked Blink what
their plan was now, and Blink decided to keep going on as Exiles,
feeling they had a duty to provide help to the Multiverse.
(Fantastic Four VI#25/2 - BTS) - When Reality-616 Watcher Uatu returned to life and wished to learn everything the Unseen had experienced in his absence, Uatu marveled at what all the Unseen had accomplished, including his role in the formation of Captain America's Exiles team.

According to interviews regarding the creation of the Peggy Carter Captain America in Exiles III#3, Demiurge [video game company] character designer Paige Pettoruto came up with the concept of Peggy Carter becoming Captain America in an alternate reality and worked on the backstory. These two interview pages in the back of Exiles III#3 give an interesting insight into Peggy's creation and design (as well as providing then-new story details that weren't provided in-game such as Prof. Erskine having been killed alongside Steve Rogers, and Peggy working with Howard Stark immediately following the assassination). It also confirms that the Peggy Carter Cap seen in the Marvel Puzzle Quest video game was indeed the same one seen in the Exiles comic, as it goes into detail on how the Exiles editor Wil Moss had requested to bring that particular Peggy into the Exiles comic from the video game. Some online sources list the Peggy Carter Cap in Puzzle Quest as being from a different reality but the interviews seem to treat them as one and the same and I'm not aware of anything in the game that contradicts the history of Earth-86315's Peggy Carter Cap. She doesn't mention the events of Puzzle Quest in the comic but that doesn't mean they didn't happen to her. She could've just not had a reason to mention those events to the other Exiles or she could've told them off-panel and we, the readers, weren't shown it and it's also possible, since we don't know how she returned to her home reality, that her memory of the events were wiped when she returned to Earth-86315.
In Exiles III#9, Captain America
mentions her "nan"
but the specific familial relationship of "nan" is not mentioned. "Nan"
is
typically short for "nanna," a nickname used by many for grandmother so
Cap's "nan" is presumably her grandmother. Speaking as a Brit, yes,
nan is a very common term used in the U.K. to mean grandmother,
especially in certain parts of the country - Loki
Captain America's eyes were mistakenly colored blue in various places throughout the Exiles comic run. They are shown brown in most issues and in many of her other appearances so I went with brown for the purposes of this profile.

The young Steve Rogers volunteered for Project Rebirth. While part of the Project, Rogers befriended Agent Peggy Carter but before he could be administered the Super Soldier serum by Prof. Erskine, Rogers was gunned down by a Nazi Hydra agent alongside Erskine himself. With both Rogers and Erskine gone, Peggy Carter volunteered to take the only existing Super Soldier serum dose, the one meant for Steve Rogers, and she was transformed into Captain America.

Howard Stark was present during Project Rebirth's attempt to transform the young Steve Rogers using the Super Soldier serum. While there, Stark and Agent Peggy Carter witnessed a Nazi Hydra agent kill Steve Rogers and the Project's Prof. Erskine. With the subject and the creator of the Super Soldier Serum lost, Stark administered the serum to Peggy Carter, who volunteered to become the serum's test subject. After the serum transformed Carter to the peak of human physical ability, Stark suggested she call herself Captain America despite Carter being British.
