Powers/Abilities: Mr. and Mrs. Burka  had no superhuman powers.

    They apparently loved their daughter to a point, but when her powers got out of control, they were more than happy to call both a potential trainer and the government

History:
(GS Freex#1/2 (fb) - BTS) - At school Penny subconsciously created the illusion of a wave of blood to terrorize a group of students making up stories about her.

    Penny's parents soon found that they were unable to handle her anymore, and so they contacted Contrary, so that Penny could join her Academy for the New Elite.

    Despite Contrary's instruction that she must protect the privacy of her students, and unbeknownst to Contrary, however, the Burkas also contacted the US government for assistance.

(GS Freex#1/2) - Contrary met with the Burkas, and Mrs. Burka told Contrary -- much to Penny's embarrassment -- that Penny was a good and very intelligent girl. Mr. Burka added that Penny was "a whiz with all the computers and such at high school...but then...thing just happen."

    After Penny shared how she had created the illusion of a wave of blood for kids who had been making up stories about her (although she claimed at the time that she had not been in control when she had done that), Contrary assured her that that was exactly the sort of problem her school could handle. She further noted that, for the rest of her education, she had lots of computers and high-tech equipment for her to use.

    Voicing his relief, Mr. Burka shared that they had also called the government, at which point a trio of Aladdin agents arrived to take Pixx by force.

    Aladdin's forces threatened to overwhelm Contrary, when Penny created the illusion of Prime arriving to assist her. The troops regrouped to call reinforcements, allowing Contrary time to take Penny and flee in her ship.

    According to sakoonly.com, Burka refers to the Islamic robe that covers the entire body and face, with an opening around the eyes covered by a mesh screen. It is differentiated from a Hijab, a head scarf has the entire face open; the Niqab, a face veil which leaves only the eyes exposed, without a mesh screen; and the Abaya, a long, flowing outer garment worn over clothes and leaving the face exposed.
    The Burkas did not wear Burkas and were apparently Anglo-Saxon. It is possible that they were Muslim, but there was nothing to indicate that they are/were.

     Pixx died thwarting the threat of Atalon and the Fire People, but I don't recall any further mention of her parents.

    I suppose Mr. Burka could have had a profile with Mrs. Burka in a sub-profile, but time was tight, and so I just did it as a combined profile.

    This profile was completed 09/06/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event to represent Pixx.
