History:
(Wild Thing II#1 (fb) - BTS) - Cameron was a teenager born to a wealthy
family. Attending Upper Saddle River High, she was friends with Colin
Brewster. When new student Rina Logan came to their school, Cameron
looked her up in the school records. She noticed that her father had no
listed occupation and that her mother was an immigrant. Cameron
immediately decided to belittle Rina for being from a lower class.
(Wild Thing II#1) - When Cameron saw Rina in the halls of Upper Saddle River High, she slapped her in the back of her head, causing Rina to hit her locker door with her head. Colin was ashamed of Cameron's actions and went to see to Rina's wound but was surprised to see it had already healed (due to Rina's mutant powers). Cameron mocked Rina, revealing she knew her father was unemployed and her mother was an immigrant. Rina started to protest but stopped to protect her father's identity as Wolverine.
Suddenly, the villain Thrash Bandit invaded the school grounds and kidnapped Cameron to collect ransom from her father. Seeing Cameron's predicament, Rina grumbled "Why couldn't it be someone I like?" but donned her Wild Thing costume and came to Cameron's defense. Thrash Bandit knocked Wild Thing down then fled. Cameron's only fear was that the villain might take her to a middle-class neighborhood. Thrash Bandit telephoned Cameron's father to demand $25 million in ransom but Brooks refused to pay it and began trying to barter Thrash Bandit's price down. Distracted by the bartering, Thrash Bandit slowed down enough for Wild Thing to catch up. Wild Thing rescued Cameron and put her in Colin's car but Cameron was upset to realize that her own father had tried to barter for her life.
Returning to Upper Saddle River High, Cameron and Colin met Rina's father Logan. When Colin called Logan "cool," Cameron grudgingly agreed.
(Wild Thing II#2) - Later, Cameron and her friends Josh and Colin were brought to the town mall by her father, who admonished her to not get kidnapped again. Just as Colin began telling Josh how Wild Thing rescued Cameron, Rina arrived at the mall in an expensive sports car alongside her mother, Elektra. Cameron was chagrined to see that Rina's family were clearly not as poor as she had assumed. Determined to find out something about Rina which she could use to ridicule her, Cameron began shadowing Rina and Elektra. They followed the mother and daughter to the fitness center and watched Rina and Elektra as they practiced in the dojo and witnessed Rina's fight against Kuroyama (which Rina mistakenly thought was a virtual reality fight). Colin and Josh were now very impressed by Rina and Elektra to Cameron's continued frustration.
(Wild Thing II#3) - Upper Saddle River High's Social Studies teacher Mr. Woodhill had Rina and Cameron help him staple papers for class. Cameron objected to the work, as she wanted to go to her riding lessons, claiming "You know how important dressage is to my social life!" Unfortunately, Mr. Woodhill was a Prime Sentinel and exposure to the school's microwave triggered his dormant Sentinel mode. An energy blast from Woodhill tore through the room. Cameron, observing the hole, remarked that it reminded her of a "moldy-oldy 2-D movie in Art History class" about "a killer android was sent from the future to assassinate the ancestor of a political leader." Rina wondered why an android from the future would come to Upper Saddle River High and Cameron suggested she would be the one most likely to have important descendants.
Cameron noticed the blast had also torn open the school safe, leaving the answers to the upcoming test available for anyone to take. Rina admonished Cameron and made her return the answers. While Rina set off after Mr. Woodhill as Wild Thing, Cameron snuck back to take the answers. However, Mr. Woodhill confronted Cameron. Scanning her, Woodhill declared Cameron was a "dormant class A mutant" and prepared to terminate her. Wild Thing came to Cameron's rescue, and Cameron tried to help the heroine, throwing a mug of coffee into Woodhill's face, although Woodhill's cybernetics were waterproof. Wild Thing finally immobilized Mr. Woodhill by turning the microwave on again. Terrified, Cameron took the test answers and fled.
(Wild Thing II#5) - Cameron joined her Bio class on a field trip out to some marshland when Colin accidentally revived the extraterrestrial Iron Despot, who menaced the class. Fortunately, Wild Thing was able to defeat him.

Cameron was actually an interesting take on the "bully"-type character like "Flash" Thompson, being a rare female example of that stock character. Her "mean girl" status came primarily from her income class, as is typical for such characters.
The movie Cameron is talking about in Wild Thing II#3 is almost certainly The Terminator.

Brooks Bryce-Jones is the father of Cameron. An immensely wealthy man, he is the owner of Bryce-Jones Investments, whose offices are in the World Trade Center (possibly a topical reference).
The villain Thrash Bandit attempted to ransom Cameron for $25 million dollars but Brooks refused to pay the amount because his shareholders would be upset. His counteroffer for his daughter's life was $10,000 in cash and $20,000 in stock options. The bartering slowed Thrash Bandit down long enough for Wild Thing to rescue Cameron but Cameron was upset by her father's actions.
Later, Brooks dropped Cameron off at a mall alongside her friends Colin and Josh. He chided Cameron not to get kidnapped again.
