History: (Pooluminati#1 (fb) - BTS) - Brainpool, supposedly the smartest 'Pool in the Multiverse, had organized the Poolluminati society of multiversal Deadpools to secretly exert power through manipulation from the shadows. As the society expanded, Brainpool took on the title of Grand Maestro but came into conflict with Deadpool 2099. Over the years Deadpool 2099 kept bringing in supposedly less capable Deadpools, frustrating Brainpool until he eventually broke off from Poolluminati and started anew with Pooluminati (single "L"). The Poolluminati remained at the house of Swimmingpool, one of their members, while the Pooluminati got a more impressive base at a remote jungle fortress.

(Pooluminati#1 - BTS) - Deadpool 2099 recruited Deadpools of Earth-616 - Wade Wilson and Ellie Camacho (her own past self) - to bring back Brainpool, claiming that he had been kidnapped. The two of them made their way inside the Pooluminati's facility and inadvertently killed Wilson, unaware that there was a man inside his giant robot.

(Pooluminati#1) - Just as the Earth-616 Deadpools began suspecting that they had been set up, they were applauded by Brainpool who showed up with the rest of Pooluminati - Dwarfpool, Catpool, and Samuraipool. The way into the fortress now open, Deadpool 2099 arrived with new Poolluminati recruits: Lady Deadpool, Kidpool, and Frogpool. Unimpressed with the latter two, Brainpool berated Deadpool 2099's choice of members, which he saw as the validation of his decision to leave. The Pooluminati and Poolluminati were about to clash, but Deadpool-616 interjected to try to stop them. Brainpool then explained to Deadpool-616 that he was involved not because of his skills or virtues but merely because he fit into Deadpool 2099's machinations. Brainpool then stabbed him through the chest, and the Pooluminati engaged the Poolluminati. Deadpool 2099 tried to choke Brainpool, who telekinetically hit his opponent with a rock to get her off him. Brainpool prepared to decapitate Deadpool 2099 when Earth-616 Ellie Camacho - 2099's past self - hit Brainpool's brain with a throwing dagger. This instantly made Brainpool much less sophisticated, signaling an end to hostilities.

(Pooluminati#1 (fb) - BTS) - With the change in Brainpool's personality, the reason for the schism went away. All members of Poolluminati joined the new Pooluminati, which also welcomed other new members, Earth-616 Deadpools among them. Brainpool told Deadpool 2099 to leave the knife stuck inside his brain, as it took off the pressure of needing to be the smartest.

(Pooluminati#1) - Sometime later, the Pooluminati gathered for a party at Swimmingpool's swimming pool, during which Brainpool enjoyed a hot dog.

Comments: Created by Zac Gorman and Todd Nauck.

To clarify, the Poolluminati (double L) existed first, until Brainpool left to form the Pooluminati (single L). After the confrontation and Brainpool's head injury, everyone joined the new Pooluminati.

The Pooluminati include multiple members who previously died during the 'Deadpool Kills Deadpool' storyline. Dogpool, Headpool, and Lady Deadpool had come back through uncertain means in Deadpool: Badder Blood#3 (2023). Pooluminati#1 additionally brings back "The Fool" (now named Samuraipool), Golden Age Deadpool, and Major Deadpool, the latter two of whom were seen during the pool party. It is presumed that they came back to life through similar means to the others, or possibly facilitated by Pooluminati themselves.

Pooluminati's Kidpool is not the Deadpool Corps' Kidpool of Earth-10330 who is male, but rather another Kidpool of Earth-66345 who is female and can be identified by a vertical stitch running through her mask. Frogpool is presumably the version from Deadpool#1000 (2010), created by Zeus-10010 as a clone of Deadpool-616.
