Powers/Abilities:
Like other Skrulls, the Blood Skrulls could metamorph to adopt the forms
of other beings, objects, etc.
They did not appear to be able to adopt superhuman abilities, just those inherent to a form they adopted, such as a bird flying or a fish breathing under water.
Blood Skrulls were apparently unique in
that their true forms had red skin.
They believe in racial purity,
considering any different from them to be unworthy and impure.
Additionally, they did not believe
that other beings deserved to observe their true forms, and so they
consistently appeared in adopted forms around others unless otherwise
unable to do so.
Upon death, they reverted to their true forms.
The Blood Skrulls apparently spoke the
language "Skrullkrov."
History:
(Scarlet Witch III#6 (fb) - BTS) - A sect of red-skinned Skrulls believing in racial purity, the Blood Skrulls rejected the science that gave them Super-Skrulls. After assassinating Skrull scientists, they were exiled to the Skrull prison world Klarr.
(Scarlet Witch III#6 (fb) - BTS) - The Blood Skrull A'kro led a revolt, and the Blood Skrulls took over Klarr under his rule. The Skrull rulers covered up evidence of this, considering the Blood Skrulls to be out of sight, out of mind.
A'kro elevated Blood Skrulls with the highest alien body count.
One of A'kro's
troops slew the Arachsisterhood -- who had entered cryogenic
suspension
in hibernation chambers disguised as rocky space debris to await the
return of their enemy, Tyrant -- for a promotion.
Only Ganymede of the
Arachsisterhood survived this extermination.

Detecting the presence of Tyrant's energies, the computer holding
Ganymede in stasis revived her.
(Cosmic Powers Unlimited#3 (fb) - BTS) -
Ganymede discovered the deaths of the rest of the Arachsisterhood.
(Scarlet Witch III#6 (fb) - BTS) - Ganymede learned during an interrogation that the Arachsisterhood were actually slain by the Skrull Empire, who allegedly feared their rebuke.

Ganymede vengefully attacked the Kree-Skrull alliance, engaging Kree
Purifiers on the planet Pettoco.
(Scarlet Witch III#6 - BTS) - Ganymede was
blasted through the Last Door that teleported her to Earth to the
Scarlet Witch's Emporium in Lotkill, New Jersey.
After hearing Ganymede's
story, the Scarlet Witch facilitated
a meeting with the Kree-Skrull Alliance's Emperor, Dorrek VIII (Teddy
Altman, aka Hulkling) and his husband, Wiccan (Billy Kaplan).
Via Wanda's
guidance, Teddy and Billy investigated, confirmed and detailed the
history of the Blood Skrulls. Following additional advisement, Dorrek
VIII gifted the Star-Sword to Wanda and Ganymede as a show of good
faith, with plans of sanctioning the Blood Skrulls after Ganymede had
gained her vengeance.
(Scarlet Witch III#6 (fb) - BTS) - On
Klarr, Ganymede and the Scarlet Witch engaged the Blood Skrulls, who
took the forms of the Arachsisterhood to prevent their unworthy
opponents from glimpsing their true forms. Wanda's linguistic
enchantment translated the Blood Skrull's Skrullkrov language so that
she and Ganymede could understand them.
(Scarlet Witch III#6) - After Ganymede slew a number of the Blood
Skrulls (who reverted to their true forms in death)
(Scarlet Witch III#6) - A'kro or another of the Blood Skrulls cursed the Scarlet Witch and Ganymede as "filthy hardforms who soiled their world just by touching it."
Ganymede engaged
A'kro, recognizing him despite his Arachsisterhood form, and A'kro
noted that unlike her littermates, Ganymede had heart, which was
respectable.
After A'kro knocked away Ganymede's staff with his spiked mace-pole and told her that he would take her head for a latrine, the Scarlet Witch tossed the Star-Sword to Ganymede. With that weapon, Ganymede advised A'kro that she would carve free his true face, but A'kro told her she did not deserve the sight of his true face, and that she had no crime to avenge, as the Blood Skrulls culled the imperfect by right. He attempted to punctuate his point by smashing her with his spiked mace weapon, but she dodged.
Meanwhile, the
Scarlet Witch case a spell, disrupting the Blood Skrulls' power and
forcing them into their true forms (using a "Trueflesh" spell given to
her by Wiccan), although they struggled against this for at least a
minute or so. When she mocked the Blood Skrulls as being perfect,
while
all else was not, even other Skrulls, a Blood Skrull argued that the
other Skrulls were not their people, as the Blood Skrulls needed no
engineering or hybridization. Wanda further asked if they just called
anything they did not like imperfect. 
Enraged, A'kro
proclaimed that her eyes would not defile his true form and that he
would rather die. Asking "Why not
both?", Ganymede sidestepped A'kro's site and then sliced his
head and body with the Star Sword, apparently killing him.
A Blood Skrull argued that this was their home and that Wanda and Ganymede did not know them but loathed their culture. For forcing out their true forms, he threatened to skin them alive, but Wanda instead subdued them with a spell accessing Storm (Ororo Munroe)'s lightning to incapacitate them.
Ganymede was
content that the one who had ordered her people's slaughter was dead
and that his sheep awaited sanction.
(Sensational She-Hulk II#6 (fb) - BTS / Sensational She-Hulk II#7 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Ganymede slaughtered the rest of the Blood Skrulls. Doing so felt glorious to her, but she soon discovered that she no longer felt anything at all.
