History:
(
Doorman Infinity Comic#1 (fb) - BTS) - As things were slow with the Great Lakes Avengers, Doorman (DeMarr Davis) contacted an unidentified tech-security company and requested an in-person interview.

Azim replied multiple times over e-mails that it was very rare for his company to do in-person interviews these days. After Doorman insisted, Azim arranged to meet Doorman at a sit 'n sip coffee/donut restaurant.

(Doorman Infinity Comic#1) - When Doorman was late, Azim wondered where he was, as well as who the Hell asked to be interviewed in person these days.

Doorman materialized seconds later, apologizing for his lateness and noting that he had doored to the wrong sit 'n sip by mistake, although he rarely made such mistakes.

Doorman further explained that the reason he wanted the in-person interview was to demonstrate his abilities "to give myself the edge because I'm that much of a forward thinker!"azim-doorman-emerging

Azim asked if he was not being provided enough challenge with the Great Lakes Avengers, and Doorman told him that things were just slow, and he was looking to expand his portfolio and diversify his skill set.

After Doorman announced that it was time for the practical portion of his interview, Azim tried to stop him, but Doorman insisted that he was being assertive in the workplace and that he knew Azim was just testing him.

As Azim cried out, Doorman shoved him through the portal he made in his own body, bringing them to Manhattan to the site of a battle between Spider-Man and the Scorpion.

When Azim asked if they were in New York, Doorman joked that they weren't in California anymore and then explained that that was a Wizard of Oz reference; Azim replied that he knew the quote.

After dodging a blast from the Scorpion's tail, Azim asked if they weren't a little too close to the fighting, and the agreeing Doorman pulled Azim back through his personal portal as he noted that they should move on to their next location.

When they arrived in the Savage Land amidst a conflict between Wolverine and a tyrannosaurid dinosaur, Azim shouted, "Get me out of here!" and then dove into the portal in Doorman's chest.azim-doorman-diveinto

They arrived in the dining room of Castle Doom in Latveria, and Doorman admitted that he may have taken a wrong turn again.

Doom angrily asked who interrupted the Doom-Bunch and then began blasting at them, and Doorman shoved Azim through the portal in his chest.

Doorman and Azim subsequently crash-landed back in sit 'n sip, shattering the table at which Azim had previously sat.

Doorman admitted that he may not have stuck the landing but asked if that wasn't what growth was all about.

Angrily gathering his belongings, Azim admitted, "Maybe!" but further added that the tech industry about speculative or real money, and not about getting nearly eaten by dinosaurs not killed by Doctor Doom.

As Azim ran out the door, Doorman asked if he had gotten the job, but Azim advised him, "Don't call us, we'll call you!"

(Doorman Infinity Comic#1 - BTS) - The waitress subsequently informed Doorman that someone needed to pay for the coffees...and the table they had shattered. She was unconvinced when Doorman asked her if she would believe he had left his wallet in Latveria.

Comments: Created by Cody Ziglar and Julian Shaw.

The Doorman Infinity Comic was clearly patterned after the Doorman character from the Wonder Man series on Disney+ (which should be part of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, which is Earth-199999 (although they apparently use a different system and call it Earth-616 (see here), especially with the "Ding Dong" references. Relatively out of character for Doorman-616 (especially after his connection to Oblivion), but he had been watching "grindset podcasts" to get himself motivated (and reinvent himself) for the interview, so I don't see the personality change as contradictory.
