Powers/Abilities: Ben is highly skilled in both armed and unarmed combat, and he is experienced with various firearms and other weapons, such as crossbows. 

    He was also knowledgeable and experienced in battling various types of vampires, especially the Adze, who took minutes to perish upon receiving a wound that would destroy that vampire. 

    He carries certain forms of advanced techno-weaponry, such as the gun shown here.

History:
(Tomb of Dracula IV#1 (fb) - BTS) - After Adze vampires in Guyana vampirized Benjamin's wife, Anita, she devoured their children and then went on a rampage, destroying half of his native village.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#1 (fb) - BTS) - Benjamin destroyed those vampirized victims remaining in the village, preventing the plague from spreading outside his native province. In the process, he destroyed Anita. His actions earned him a reputation as a vampire hunter.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#1 (fb) - BTS / Tomb of Dracula IV#3 (fb) - BTS) - Alongside Michiko Watanabe, Enzo Ferrara, and Lucas Telling-Stone, Benjamin Alomii was recruited by fellow vampire-hunter Noah van Helsing (who kept secret that he was adopted), to destroy Dracula before he could complete the Ritual of Ascendance, which would grant Dracula god-like power.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#1 (fb) - BTS /Tomb of Dracula IV#4 (fb) - BTS) - Noah van Helsing's band of vampire hunters was joined by "Divinity Drake" -- allegedly a direct descendant of Dracula, but secretly the Sumerian sorceress Aamshed, who had been forced to create the ritual by ancient vampire lord Varnae but had twisted the ritual to prevent Varnae from utilizing it -- who secretly wished the others to bring her to Dracula so she could follow through on her plan to destroy him.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#1) - At an undisclosed location, Benjamin Alomii attended Noah meeting alongside Enzo Ferrara, Lucas Telling-Stone, and Michiko Watanabe. After reviewing each member's history and qualifications, Noah discussed the Ritual of Ascendance. 

    As Dracula would be vulnerable in a chrysalis while undergoing the ritual, Noah announced that as they knew exactly where Dracula would be, they would have him at their mercy. 

    Interrupting after having tracked Divinity there (and arriving at the meeting shortly before her), Blade advised the other vampire-hunters that they were seriously underestimating Dracula's abilities as a strategist and assured them that Dracula would have gathered a massive vampire army to stop them. 

    Nonetheless, Blade advised Noah and his allies that they were deluded and that Dracula was a much more dangerous threat than they could ever imagine.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#2) - During a training exercise, Ben sparred against Michiko Watanabe, who taunted him as she ducked his kick and asked if that was the fiercest kick he had; he advised her to watch her pretty face.

    Later, Noah detailed the Ritual of Ascendance to the others; seeing a picture of Varnae, Ben noted to be "one butt-ugly mo'fo." Noah then discussed his interpretation of "the smallest part of the greatest fire" that could thwart the ritual as the uranium atom. Noah then clarified that the plan was to carry a nuclear weapon into Dracula's crypt a mile below Castle Dracula, which would protect the surrounding environment and people from the nuclear explosion. 

    Blade subsequently met with Ben, Enzo, Lucas, Michiko, warning them that Noah's plan was a suicide mission. After Ben told him they all knew that and that they may not even get that far, Michiko added that the alternative -- Dracula gaining the power to take over the planet -- was worth the sacrifice. 

    Pleased that they were on the same page, Blade advised them to back him up when he needed backing, as he may be able to finish off Dracula without the nuke and get them out alive. Blade concluded by warning them not to trust Divinity, as she could turn at any moment, and to watch him, as he could not trust himself around Divinity Drake.

    As Noah detailed the "suitcase" bomb they would use, he and the group departed by car to a private jet, they were ambushed by a group of vampires, as Dracula at this phase could sense their plans. After one of the vampires punched through the glass, Michiko wrapped her legs around its neck and pulled it into the vehicle, where Ben staked it. As the vehicle stopped, Ben followed Blade's lead in exiting and confronting the vampires, armed with some sort of rifle weapon. The vampire hunters were on the verge of being overwhelmed when they were rescued by the Mortuus Invitus. 

    Ben and the rest of the Noah's group subsequently flew by plane toward Bucharest. However, as they crossed the Carpathian mountains and into darkness, the Dracula-sent Charniputra approached their plane.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#3) - As the Charniputra tore through the plane's hull, Blade dove out of the plane (without a parachute) and engaged the Charniputra, taking most of them out before passing out from the lack of oxygen.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#3 (fb)) - With the ship badly damaged, the rest of Noah's crew at least had time to jump out and engage their parachutes before the ship crashed. 

    Grabbing one of his weapons before jumping off, Ben calculated his dive to get below Blade before engaging his parachute and taking out the remaining Charniputra who were pursuing him. As Blade fell toward his altitude, Ben realized he wasn't quite close enough, but he fired his weapon, the recoil from which got him close enough to catch Blade's ankle and get him safely to the ground in Romania.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#3) - After Blade was told how Ben had saved him, Ben noted that he had just done the job.

    Blade subsequently led the group across the Carpathian mountains towards Castle Dracula until Ben spotted a transport, and the group convinced the driver, Mr. Gheorghiu, to give them a ride into town where they met with Noah's contact, Ion. However, a pair of Yiki Onna vampires then arrived and slew Ion. Michiko sacrificed herself destroying the Yiki Onna, while Noah was captured and later brought before Dracula and slain.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#4) - As a massive force of vampires descended on them, Ben warned Enzo (see comments) that the vampire whom he had staked was one of the Adze, who got so amped on adrenaline that they did not perish until minutes after receiving a fatal/destructive wound; however, too close to the staked vampire to do anything about it, Enzo was bitten by the Adze and perished. 

    Ben noted that it was no good as they were facing a slaughter, at which point Divinity departed with Noah's suitcase nuke, seemingly intending to carry out the intended mission.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#4 (fb) - BTS) - Ben was bitten by an unspecified type of vampire whose bite instantly transformed their victim into a vampire. 

(Tomb of Dracula IV#4 - BTS) - With only himself and Lucas left, Blade noted that he did not see Ben anywhere. 

(Tomb of Dracula IV#4) - After a local sect of the Mortuus Invitus joined the assault against the attacking vampires, Blade departed to confront Dracula and/or save Divinity.

    En route, Blade was confronted by Benjamin, and Blade noted that Lucas and the Mortuus Invitus could use his help back at the plaza. Ben noted the various types of vampires present, including one whose victims became vampires immediately, and when Blade -- presumably suspecting the truth -- asked Ben how he knew this, Ben revealed his vampiric self and confronted Blade.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#4 (fb) - BTS) - Blade presumably destroyed Ben.

(Tomb of Dracula IV#4 - BTS) - Arriving at Dracula's castle, Blade noted that he had been delayed by an old ally with nasty new teeth, but that it was nothing he could not handle.

    In Blade III#12 a prophecy was fulfilled that brought back all vampires that ever died. This most likely included slain Ben as well. We'll have to wait to see if he resurfaces.

    Anita Alomii's name was revealed in the Vampires entry in the Vampires: The Marvel Undead handbook.

    The main image is actually after Ben was vampirized, but you can't really tell that from the picture, and it is the best full body image of him. Plus, that's his most recent state...

    There was some confusion between Lucas Telling-Stone and Enzo Ferrara in Tomb of Dracula IV#1-4.  SORT this out during Enzo and Lucas' profiles. It's a mess. 

• In Noah's introduction of everyone, while discussing Lucas, he shows a picture of the guy with the thicker hair and glasses. He goes on to note that Lucas is mute, but he can speak telepathically. He's the one with the magical powers, etc.. However, the character with glasses is then shown lecturing to a crowd -- odd for someone who is mute -- and wielding a cross against vampires.
• In Noah's introduction of everyone, while discussing Enzo, he shows a picture of the short-haired guy with the facial tattoos. He goes on to note that Enzo is the one with the encyclopedic knowledge of vampires. However, the character with the facial tattoos is shown using a magical spell to destroy a group of vampires.
• I'll review the information when I next cover Enzo and then Lucas, but I am pretty certain that the text and images for Lucas and Enzo are reversed. 
• Blade calls the guy with the facial tattoos "sorcerer boy," he is shown using magic and teleparthy, and he never speaks. 
• The guy with the thicker hair and glasses speaks just before dying, and he is not shown using any magic or speaking telepathically.
• Based on all of the above, I believe Enzo is the former priest with the knowledge (although he failed to appreciate one of the Adze vampire), thicker hair, and glasses, while Lucas is the mute sorcerer with the short hair and facial tattoos.
• The Vampire Hunters entry in Vampires: The Marvel Undead confirms the above assessment.
  
• In #3, Enzo is pictured behind Blade, speaking to him telepathically, and Blade calls him "sorcerer boy." When the vampire hunter gets bitten by the Adze near the start of #4, he is clearly pictured as Lucas, but he speaks, complaining that he had staked the vampire and it was still coming. He is identified (by Ben) as Enzo, and then after Divinity took off on her own, Blade noted that Enzo was dead, but he also called the man by his side, with the facial tattoos, "sorcerer boy." As the struggle continues and at the end of the issue, Enzo is clearly pictured as the last member of the group still fighting alongside the Mortuus Invitus.
