History:
(Slapstick Infinite Comic I#5 (fb) - BTS) - After the power-hungry Princess took over Dimension Echh, she arranged for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds to serve under her alongside the Luna Marines and the W.A.R. Dogs.

(Slapstick Infinite Comic I#5) - One of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds flew around the now-Queen Princess' castle as one of the W.A.R. Dogs showed Earth residents Slapstick and A.R.M.O.R. agents Isabel Cabrera and Teresa Rigotti around. When the Dimension Echh natives learned that Slapstick had killed their former overlord during his origin story, they attacked him and the commotion drew the attention of Queen Princess, who arrived on the scene surrounded by the flying Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds. Concerned that the residents were falling back in their old, violent ways, Princess vouched for Slapstick as one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds perched on her shoulder and tweeted. Informing Slapstick of her faked fairy tale story about a champion that would liberate Dimension Echh, Queen Princess went into a song and the Birds flew around her as she sang, much to the chagrin of Slapstick. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds continued to fly about Queen Princess' as she wrapped up her song, sending Slapstick to rescue "the Champion" (actually Slapstick's friend, Mike Peterson). When Slapstick and his allies returned with Mike, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds were still flying happily around Princess as she commended Slapstick on his mission and announced to the Dimension Echh residents that they would be restored to their true forms.

As Slapstick and his allies were led to Queen Princess' lab and Slapstick asked how Princess would be able to restore the Echh residents, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds brandished their weapons and Queen Princess announced that she would first transform her enemies, who had to be...corrected...by any means necessary. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds then ushered Slapstick and his allies into the room where her captured enemy, the wizard Gorgonzolla, was being held captive. The Birds then stood guard as Queen Princess used her machines to melt Gorgonzolla and reshape his form into that of a harmless infant. The Birds remained by Queen Princess' side as she admitted having made up the fairy tale of a champion to keep the Dimension Echh residents in line and announced that, without further use of either Slapstick or Mike Peterson, the two would be forced to fight to the death in her arena.

(Slapstick Infinite Comic I#6) - The armed Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds remained flying around Queen Princess as Slapstick and Mike Peterson fought in and launched themselves from Princess' arena. Sent to check on the two Earthmen, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds flew up to the nearby tower and immediately spotted Slapstick. The Birds immediately swarmed around Slapstick and Mike Peterson, attacking them with ninja-like precision as Mike warned against the Birds, noting that they were hopped up on pizza and hormones. One of the Birds quickly hit Slapstick with his sword, knocking the hero from the tower, but the cartoon-like Slapstick saved himself with his own prehensile tongue. When Slapstick swung inside the dungeon of the tower, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds pursued as the hero freed his captive allies, Isabel Cabrera and Teresa Rigotti. In an effort to bring Slapstick back to assist in Mike's continued battle against the Birds, Dimension Echh resident Julius T. Flakfyser dumped hot sauce on Slapstick's tongue, forcing the hero to return to the upper levels of the tower, where he expelled the heat in a blast of fire from his mouth that incinerated the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds.

Comments: Created by Reilly Brown, Fred Van Lente and Diego Olortegui.

It's unclear whether the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds survived their incineration. Sure, Dimension Echh residents normally are composed of electroplasm, granting cartoon-like qualities and if they retained those qualities, they most likely all survived despite being burnt to a crisp. However, right after Slapstick incinerated the Birds, Mike Peterson used a device to "de-animate" the residents of Dimension Echh, removing their electroplasmic properties and restoring their more realistic qualities. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds were in close proximity to Mike's usage of the device and, while we don't see them transformed, they were likely some of the first Dimension Echh residents transformed. If that is the case despite us not being shown, then the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds would've still been in their "burnt to a crisp" form when they were affected by the "de-animation" device and likely would have actually died from their injuries...

Dimension X was called Dimension Echh in the 2017 Slapstick Infinite Comic, likely to not fall into any legal gray area involving the Dimension X seen in many other properties, notably Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

To be clear, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds were never exactly called by that specific name. Mike Peterson exclaims "Watch it, boys! Those birds are teenage mutant ninjas! They're hopped up on pizza and hormones!" That is the closest we get to the birds being identified and it certainly sounds as if they are called the Teenage Mutant Ninja Birds by that exclamation. U Decide!
