History:
(Strange Tales I#152) - After abandoning a Hydra aircraft which had been wrecked by the Overkill Horn, Nick Fury dove out into the Atlantic Ocean, where submarine "Pickup No. 7" of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Marine Division was dispatched by orders from Jasper Sitwell to rendezvous with him. The submarine's crew pulled Fury aboard, then he directed them to a Hydra base in the Suez Canal where Hydra was holding their former operative Laura Brown as prisoner. A squad of marines joined Nick Fury in raiding the Hydra base. They freed Laura Brown and as Hydra rallied in an attempt to defeat them, the marines used a S.H.I.E.L.D. Electro-Spear to unleash a flurry of electrical energy which made the Hydra agents' weapons too hot to hold. The marines commandeered the Hydra base as Nick Fury reported on their success to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Executive Council.

CLARIFICATIONS:
The S.H.I.E.L.D. Marine Division should not be confused with:
Pickup No. 7 was the S.H.I.E.L.D. Marine Division's submarine which picked up Nick Fury following his bailout over the ocean. Taking Fury aboard, the marines followed his instructions to raid a Hydra base in the Suez Canal, docking the submarine at a wharf.
