History:
(My Love II#1/3 (fb)) - Julie grew up in a poor household. As a child, she saw her parents argue with each other over money. As she grew older, Julie found herself wanting money and planned to one day marry a millionaire so she would never want for lack of money again.
One year, Julie's friend Flo invited to an arts festival in the Berkshires. Julie was disappointed when she saw that all of the men at the festival were "penniless artists and writers." When she met the artist Keith, who was painting a landscape, Keith remarked he'd give up painting landscapes if she'd model for him. Soon, Julie found herself talking to Keith. Noticing that he was talented, she asked why he didn't go into fashion design or movie sets that would pay him more money. Keith replied that he wasn't interested in money. Julie realized she was attracted to Keith but didn't understand how she could feel for someone who thought so differently than she.
Eventually, Julie posed for Keith upon some rocks on the beach. Keith told Julie he was in love with her and they kissed. Keith asked Julie to marry him but she refused, even though she admitted she was in love with him too. Saying she couldn't live a penniless life like her parents, Julie ran away.
The next day, Julie went back to Keith to tell him she was going home that afternoon and wanted to say goodbye. Keith insisted that their feelings were more important than money but Julie refused to listen and said her farewell to Keith. A few months later, Julie married a millionaire, just as she'd always intended.
(My Love II#1/3) - Some time later, Julie returned to the beach where she'd posed for Keith. Reflecting on the choices she made, she realized she'd obtained all the things she wanted - except for the true love she'd briefly known with Keith. She somberly returned to her chauffeur and left the beach.

Julie's story is identical to "Our Last Goodbye!" from Love Romances I#104/3, which was drawn by Vince Colletta (writer unknown). In that story, Keith's surname was Lindsay.
