Real Name: Unrevealed (see comments)
Identity/Class: Extradimensional (Microverse) extraterrestrial humanoid insectoid (Insectivorid, citizen of Kaliklak)
Occupation: Teacher
Group Membership: None known
Affiliations: Bug, the Flutter of Infinite Dawn
Enemies: None known
Known Relatives: None
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: Kaliklak, Microverse
First Appearance: Micronauts I#59 (August, 1994)
Powers/Abilities: As an Insectivorid of Kaliklak, the teacher has extraordinary vision.
His antennae enhance his sensory awareness (including something of a danger sense) and enabling communication of thoughts and memories with others possessing antennae.
He can presumably cling to walls,
possibly via adhesive properties in his digits or due to friction
and/or hand strength.
His speech is interspersed with a “tik” sound due to an Insectivorid’s chitinous membrane in the throat.
He may or may not have an aversion to water, or that may have been just an idiosyncrasy of Bug.
Height: Unrevealed (approximately 6')History:
(Micronauts I#59 (fb)) - When Bug was a relative youth, his teacher took him into the wild to educate him in the ways of nature.
As they walked through woods, Bug asked his teacher what was the most beautiful creature on Kaliklak.
The teacher replied that it was a flyer called the Flutter of Infinite Dawn, with wings like the rainbow and more delicate than anything.
At Bug's query, the teacher
revealed that he had not actually seen one and that of all the people
he had known, only his own teacher had ever seen one; however, he added
that he would very much like to see one.
As the teacher had rarely shown emotion, Bug knew that the flutter was very important to him.
As they wandered, Bug saw what he
realized could only be the Flutter of Infinite Dawn. However, Bug also
appreciated that the insect had been mauled by some predator.
Bug was brought to tears as the still-living creature struggled, wanting to fly. Knowing that his teacher might never get a chance to see another one, Bug hurled it up into the air, and it glowed with one last flight.
Bug cried out to his teacher, asking what kind of flyer it was, and the teacher turned and looked, and it seemed as if a great light had shone on his face, and he didn't say a word.
Bug did not know which struck him more, the Flutter's last valiant flight, or the joy on his teacher's face.
(Micronauts I#59 - BTS) - Years later, Bug still remembered that day as the most beautiful sight he ever saw or ever would.

It is not confirmed whether
Bug's teacher in Micronauts
I#59 was the same person as the Master Thief from Micronauts I#13. The
teacher seemed to be more of a sensitive, poetic person, as opposed to
a being that would be a master thief. The two characters were used by
two different writers. As neither character was
identified by name -- see below -- and were not specifically noted to be the same, I think they are likely different beings.
What's in a name?
Why not name the character?
It makes detailing his abilities and history cumbersome, and it makes him more forgettable and harder to clarify.
He's not really the Master Thief anymore, but what are we supposed to call him?
Having a real name would have clarified the question above...
If I had the opportunity to identify this character, I would call him Farfall
